Central University of Andhra Pradesh Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026 - 60 Posts

Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Ananthapuramu, has released Advertisement No. CUAP/Estt./2024-25/GF-ADV/25 dated 22 May 2026 for faculty engagement on a temporary basis. The engagement is mainly for one semester, extendable by one more semester based on performance and conduct. Selection will be through interview in hybrid mode at the CUAP campus in Janthaluru Village, Bukkarayasamudram Mandal, Anantapur.

Who Can Apply?

Basic UGC Eligibility

• Master's degree: You need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks in the concerned, relevant or allied subject.
• NET/SET/SLET: You should have cleared UGC NET, CSIR NET, SET or SLET, unless you are exempted under UGC Ph.D. rules.
• Ph.D. exemption: A Ph.D. awarded under UGC 2009/2016 rules can exempt you from NET/SET/SLET if the required conditions are met.
• Foreign Ph.D. route: A Ph.D. from a top 500 foreign university can also be considered under UGC rules.

Department-Specific Requirements

• Computer Science and AI: MCA, M.Sc. CS/IT, B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in CSE/IT or equivalent, with NET/SET/Ph.D. where applicable.
• Life Science departments: Molecular Biology, Genomic Sciences and related posts need M.Sc. with 55%, Ph.D./NET/SET/JRF and relevant teaching or research experience where stated.
• Space Science and Technology: M.Sc. in Astrophysics, Physics or Space Science with 55% marks, Ph.D. or national eligibility test route as per the notice.
• Humanities and social science departments: Master's in the relevant subject with 55% marks, NET/SET/Ph.D., and subject background throughout the degree where specified.

Temporary Assistant Professor and Retired Teacher Conditions

• Temporary Assistant Professor: CUAP may consider people with at least 2 years of teaching experience in premier higher education, strong teaching ability and good academic record for higher monthly honorarium.
• Retired or superannuated teachers: Retired teachers below 65 years may be engaged as Guest Faculty on the same terms.
• Outstanding credentials: Candidates with strong research record, post-doctoral work, Scopus-indexed publications or high-level academic contributions may be considered for higher honorarium with approval.

Age Limit

• Retired / superannuated teachers: You should be below 65 years.
• Other applicants: The notification does not mention a separate upper age limit for general temporary faculty applicants.
• Qualification cut-off: Qualification and experience will be counted as on the date of interview.

Salary

• Guest Faculty: Up to Rs. 50,000 per month or Rs. 1,500 per lecture, based on actual classes, whichever is less.
• Temporary Assistant Professor with 2 years experience: Up to Rs. 57,000 per month or Rs. 1,500 per lecture, whichever is less.
• Outstanding academic and research credentials: Higher consolidated honorarium up to Rs. 75,000 per month may be considered with competent authority approval.
• Workload: Teaching workload will follow UGC norms for Assistant Professor level work.

Application Fee

• Candidates other than SC / ST / PwD / Women: Rs. 1,000
• SC / ST / PwD / Women candidates: No fee mentioned for these categories
• Payment mode: Pay through the Samarth recruitment portal while applying.
• Refund: Fees once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process

CUAP will screen applications and conduct the interview in hybrid mode. The pre-extracted selection hints in the tracker are not used because the PDF does not announce a written exam or physical test.

1. Online Application Scrutiny: CUAP checks the Samarth application, uploaded certificates, fee status and department eligibility.
2. Shortlisting: Academic record, NET/SET/SLET or Ph.D. route, teaching experience, research publications and department need can be considered.
3. Document Verification: Original documents must be shown at the time of joining, and certificates may be verified from issuing authorities.
4. Interview: Interview will be held at CUAP, Janthaluru Village, Anantapur, in hybrid mode.

5. Pay the fee through Samarth if your category requires it.
