The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research — National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-NEERI), Nagpur, has released Advertisement No. RECRUIT_V5_5F_ITI_01042026 for engagement of R&D project staff. This position is under the project "Identification of an alternative Disposal Point for the Treated Effluent of Andra Paper Mills Ltd Rajahmundry (CNP-2926)". The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project duration.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

You must hold one of these qualifications from a recognized university:

• M.Sc. in Environment / Life Sciences / Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing / GIS from a recognized university
• OR B.Tech / B.E. (CSE / IT / Electronics) from a recognized university

Experience

• 2 years of experience in a related field of R&D from a Research Institute or Industry is required
• Experience is counted from the date after acquiring the minimum educational qualification
• Dissertation or thesis work done during the academic period does not count as experience

Job Requirement / Skills

• Preparation of GIS thematic maps and land use maps
• Application of ArcGIS, QGIS, and similar GIS tools

Note: Result awaited or final semester candidates are not eligible. You must have the degree and result declared at the time of applying.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age is calculated as on the last date of receipt of applications (13 April 2026)

Salary

• Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA — for candidates selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship / Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or through national level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and their agencies
• Rs. 28,000/- per month + HRA — for all other candidates who do not fall under the above category

HRA is admissible as per applicable rules. The project staff must make their own accommodation arrangements.
