• Mechanical: Master's/Integrated Master's in Mechanical Engineering or Technology plus 4 years' R&D experience in industrial/academic institutions or S&T organizations.
• Chemistry: Doctoral Degree in Chemistry plus 4 years' R&D experience in a similar setting.
• Desirable: PGDIPR (Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Rights) or Patent Agent qualification.

Project Associate-Senior PAT - Civil / Electronics & Communication (Stipend: Rs. 42,000 + HRA)

• You need a Bachelor's degree in the relevant engineering discipline with 3 years' R&D experience, OR a Master's/Integrated Master's degree with 2 years' R&D experience.
• Desirable: PGDIPR or Patent Agent qualification.

Project Associate-Senior PAT - Physics (Stipend: Rs. 42,000 + HRA)

• You need a Master's/Integrated Master's in Physics with 3 years' R&D experience, OR a Doctoral Degree in Physics with 2 years' R&D experience.
• Desirable: PGDIPR or Patent Agent qualification.

Final semester or result-awaited candidates are not eligible. You can apply for only one position at a time — apply separately for each post if interested in more than one.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 35 years for Project Scientist (PS-1) posts and 40 years for Project Associate-Senior PAT posts, as on the date of the walk-in interview.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates get 5 years relaxation; OBC candidates get 3 years relaxation.

Salary

• Project Scientist (PS-1): Rs. 56,000 per month + HRA, with a 5% increment every 2 years of experience in the same project.
• Project Associate-Senior PAT: Rs. 42,000 per month + HRA.
• HRA will be paid as per Government of India rules applicable to CSIR employees.

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

1. Academic Records: Your educational qualifications and experience will be screened first.
2. Written Test (if required): A written test may be conducted if a large number of candidates apply.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on the same day or the next day.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the test or interview. CSIR-IPU will also prepare a panel of waitlisted candidates valid for one year.

• Conduct research and development activities related to intellectual property management under the assigned discipline
• Assist in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications in India and abroad
• Analyse technical documents and prior art relevant to CSIR inventions
• Support senior scientists in evaluating the patentability of new innovations
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and documentation for project deliverables
• Coordinate with CSIR laboratories and inventors on IP-related matters
