CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), Jammu, has released Project Advertisement No. 23/2026 for 1 Project Assistant-II post under the CSIR-funded project No. MMP025302, "Bioresource Conservation and Prospection". CSIR-IIIM works under the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, and is a premier institute in the CSIR network. This is a purely temporary, project-based position with an initial tenure of one year, extendable up to the project's completion (currently up to 31 March 2028) or the incumbent's performance. It's a good entry-level opportunity for B.Sc Chemistry graduates who want to start a career in scientific research.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: B.Sc with Chemistry as one of the subjects, from a recognized university.
• Preferred: Candidates with an M.Sc in Chemistry will be given preference.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 35 years old as on the date of the walk-in interview.
• Age Relaxation: As per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• You will get a stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month.
• HRA will also be paid, but only if you are not provided institutional accommodation.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

1. Walk-in Interview — held at CSIR-IIIM, Canal Road, Jammu.

If a large number of candidates apply, the Screening Committee may revisit the screening criteria before the interview. You can interact with the Selection Committee in English or Hindi. After selection, your original documents — including educational qualification, date of birth, caste and age relaxation certificates — will be verified, and any discrepancy will cancel your selection.

How to Apply

1. Reach CSIR-IIIM, Canal Road, Jammu on 19 August 2026 (Wednesday).
2. Report between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM — you won't be allowed in after 10:00 AM.
3. Bring the duly filled Annexure-I application form.
4. Carry your original certificates and mark sheets from 10th onwards for verification.
5. Attend the walk-in interview at the venue.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. If you are already working on a CSIR-IIIM project, you must get a No Objection Certificate before applying. Canvassing in any form will disqualify your candidature, and interim enquiries about the recruitment will not be entertained.

The Director, CSIR-IIIM, reserves the right to not fill this position if suitable candidates are not found, and the total engagement across all CSIR labs — including this one — cannot exceed six years.
