CSIR-CFTRI, a leading national laboratory under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. PAT 12/2026 for engagement of Project Technical Support-III (Post Code: GAP669). This position is for the project titled "Smart Lipids for Metabolic Health: Scale-Up and Preclinical Evaluation for Hyperlipidemia Management and Disease Prevention", funded by ICMR. The engagement is initially for up to 10 months and may be extended up to 2 years based on project needs.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Post Graduate (PG) Degree, including Integrated PG Degree, in Biochemistry or Biotechnology
• You must have already received your results — candidates with results awaited or appearing in final semester are not eligible

Desirable Qualification & Experience

• Hands-on experience in lipid extraction and analysis
• Experience in Cell culture and small experimental animal handling
• Qualified in any national-level eligibility examination such as CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS), GATE, DBT-BET, ICMR-JRF, or equivalent

Important Note

• Candidates who have already completed 6 years as Project Staff in any CSIR Lab/Institute are not eligible to apply
• If currently working in CSIR/CSIR-CFTRI, a NOC from the current PI is mandatory

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on 08 April 2026 (last date of application)
• SC/ST/PwBD/Women: 5 years relaxation (up to 40 years)
• OBC: 3 years relaxation (up to 38 years)

Salary & Stipend

• Monthly Stipend: Rs. 28,000
• HRA: 20% of stipend (Rs. 5,600)
• Total: Rs. 33,600 per month (approximately)
• This is a temporary, contractual position — no other allowances or benefits of regular CSIR employment apply

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting: A designated committee will shortlist candidates based on percentage of marks, higher qualifications, desirable qualification/experience, or other criteria decided by the committee

3. Result: Based on interview performance, results will be declared and posted on the CFTRI website
