Child Observation Home Raigarh (Mission Vatsalya) Cook Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the Collector (Women & Child Development Department), District Raigarh has released a notification (Notice No. 189) for 1 Cook (Rasoiya) post at the Child Observation Home (Bal Sampreshan Grih) under the Mission Vatsalya Scheme. Chhattisgarh domicile is mandatory for this post. This is a contractual engagement linked to the duration of the scheme, and applications must be sent by registered/speed post only.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed 8th class from a recognised institution.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a cook in a government, semi-government, or reputed private institution.
• Domicile: You must be a local resident (domicile) of Chhattisgarh, with a valid residence certificate from the competent authority.

Only full-time experience certificates issued by the employer will be accepted. Voluntary service is not counted as experience.

Age Limit

• You should be between 21 and 35 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Relaxation is given as per Chhattisgarh Government rules, but the maximum age after all relaxations will not cross 45 years.

Salary

• You will get a fixed consolidated salary of Rs. 9,930 per month.

Selection Process

Selection is based on merit and a skill test/interview:

1. Merit List: A merit list is prepared from eligible applications using a point system — 70% weightage on qualifying exam marks, plus 2 marks for each year of experience beyond the minimum (maximum 10 marks).
2. Interview / Skill Test: Carries 20 marks. Candidates are called in a 1:5 ratio per post.
3. Final Selection: Based on total marks. In case of a tie, the older candidate is preferred.
