Who Can Apply?

Risk, Compliance and ALM Roles

  • Qualification: You need a relevant analytical, finance, banking, business management, engineering, CA, FRM, CFA or PRM profile as listed for the chosen specialist stream.
  • Experience: You need minimum 10 years in banking officer cadre, including minimum 5 years in risk management, compliance, ALM, digital risk or related work for the relevant role.
  • Current level: You should be working as Chief Manager for at least 1 year or should have completed 4 years as Senior Manager, including equivalent roles in private banks.

Finance & Accounts and Credit Officer Roles

  • Finance & Accounts: You need graduation, CA final pass and ICAI membership, with 10 years in a scheduled commercial bank and 7 years in head office or administrative office finance work.
  • Credit Officer: You need CA, CFA, CMA-ICWA or a two-year PG degree in banking, finance or credit, with 10 years post-qualification experience as an officer and 7 years in corporate credit, project finance or mid/large credit.
  • Eligibility cut-off: Qualification, age and experience are checked as on 31 March 2026.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 33 and 45 years old as on 31 March 2026.
  • SC/ST: Upper age relaxation by 5 years.
  • OBC: Upper age relaxation by 3 years.
  • PwBD: Upper age relaxation by 10 years, with higher combined relaxation as per rules.
  • 1984 riots affected family members and eligible ex-servicemen: Upper age relaxation by 5 years.

Salary

  • Scale: Assistant General Manager, SMG Scale V.
  • Pay scale: Rs. 1,20,940-3,360/2-1,27,660-3,680/2-1,35,020.
  • Basic pay range: Rs. 1,20,940 to Rs. 1,35,020 per month.
  • Allowances: Perquisites and allowances will be paid as per Central Bank of India policy.
  • Probation: Selected officers are normally placed on 2 years probation from joining.

Selection Process

The selection has 2 main stages followed by document and medical checks before appointment.

  1. Online Examination: 100 questions for 100 marks in 60 minutes. There is no penalty for wrong answers.
  2. Interview: Interview carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks are 50% for General/EWS and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD.
  3. Final Weightage: Online test and interview marks are combined in 70:30 ratio.
  4. Document and Medical Verification: Appointment is subject to verification of education, experience, category certificates, character and medical fitness.

  • Monitor banking risks, credit proposals, regulatory reporting and portfolio quality

  • Follow RBI, IFSCA, internal policy and audit requirements in daily decisions
  • Manage specialist projects such as ALM, digital risk, taxation, capital reporting or credit appraisal
  • Maintain documents, controls and review notes needed for inspection and audit

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

CA/CFA/CMA, MBA Finance/Banking, PGDBM/IPGD Risk Management, analytical degree, B.E./B.Tech or relevant PG degree as per specialist stream

Preferred Qualification

FRM/CFA/PRM for risk roles; SPSS/SAS or R/Python certification; AI/ML, NLP or analytics certification for Digital Risk & Analytics where applicable
