CAQM Advisor Media and IEC Recruitment 2026: Overview

Commission for Air Quality Management in NCR and Adjoining Areas (CAQM), a statutory body under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, is engaging a retired senior government officer as Advisor for Media and IEC Activities at its New Delhi office. The assignment is designed for someone who has already worked at Director to Government of India level or above and can turn air-quality policy into communication that different audiences can understand. The role combines strategy, public information and field outreach, so it suits a senior communicator who can connect technical work with citizens, institutions and local networks.

The Advisor will support CAQM's communication around the National Capital Region and adjoining areas, where effective public messaging often needs coordination across jurisdictions. Media and Information, Education and Communication work is the centre of this engagement, with traditional channels, digital platforms and community outreach forming part of one coordinated approach. You should be comfortable working with senior officials while also shaping material for varied public groups.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Tenure: The engagement starts for one year and may be extended or shortened according to CAQM's need and your performance.
  • Work arrangement: This is a need-based contractual assignment at CAQM's New Delhi office, with normal office hours and extra time when urgent work demands it.
  • Leave: The notice allows leave to build up at one and a half days for each completed month of service.
  • Confidentiality: You must protect information learned during the assignment, both while working with CAQM and after the engagement ends. A non-disclosure undertaking forms part of the appointment paperwork.
  • Conflict of interest: You cannot take another job, consultancy or activity that conflicts with your obligations to the Commission during the engagement.
  • Ownership of work: Data collected and deliverables produced for CAQM remain the Commission's intellectual property. Reports, statistics and proceedings cannot be shared with a third party without written permission.
  • Conduct: The undertaking requires high standards of ethics and integrity and prohibits corrupt practices at every stage of the assignment.
  • Exit obligations: When the engagement ends, you must return confidential records, equipment, documents and data held for the Commission.

Check that the form is signed and the supporting records are clear before sending it. The notice warns that an application without evidence of educational or professional qualifications can be rejected, so your attachments should match the claims made in the form.
