Bodoland University (BU), Kokrajhar, has released notification number BU/Estt/Advt.-Appt./BUC/54/2025/398 dated 07 May 2026 for empanelment of 9 Guest Faculty posts at its Udalguri Campus in Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), Assam. The posts are for three departments — Bodo, Education and Political Science — with 3 vacancies each. UGC-qualified candidates are eligible. Candidates who served as Guest Faculty during 2025-2026 need to apply afresh.

Note: A separate application form is needed for each subject if you wish to apply for more than one department.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must hold a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned, relevant, or allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
• NET/SLET/SET: You must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR, or a similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.
• PhD Exemption: Candidates awarded a PhD as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016 (and their amendments) are exempt from NET/SLET/SET.
• All terms and conditions follow Bodoland University and Assam State Government rules.

Salary

• Fixed pay of Rs. 25,000 per month for all three subjects.
• This is a contract engagement on a period basis as per university requirements.

Selection Process

Selection is purely merit-based with possible interview — there is no written exam.

1. Screening of Applications: Based on educational qualifications, NET/SLET/SET status, PhD, M.Phil and research/teaching experience.
2. Interview (if conducted): Empanelment will be made for the session 2026-2027.
3. Document Verification: All claims must be supported by self-attested copies of mark sheets, certificates, NET/SET, and proof of payment.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

2. Fill the form in your own handwriting (Part-A) in BLOCK LETTERS.
3. Paste a self-attested passport-size photograph.
4. Attach self-attested copies of all mark sheets, certificates, NET/SET, PhD, and proof of fee payment (DD or NEFT/RTGS receipt).
5. Submit a separate form for each subject you are applying to.
6. Send the completed form by post or deliver in person to: The Registrar, Bodoland University, Rangalikhata (Debargaon), Kokrajhar, BTR, Assam – 783370.
7. Your application must reach the Registrar on or before 29 May 2026 (4:00 PM).
