Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), India's premier professional electronics company and a Navratna PSU, has released advertisement number 6050/HR (SC&US)/PE/2026 for 4 Project Engineer-I posts in the Electronics discipline. These are temporary, contract-based posts for an initial period of 3 years, extendable up to 4 years based on performance. The selected engineers will be posted across BEL sites such as Jakhau (Gujarat), Murud Janjira (Maharashtra), Mandapam (Tamil Nadu), and Gopalpur (Odisha).

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A 4-year B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc Engineering degree (Pass Class) from a recognised university in Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Communication, or Telecommunication.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification industrial experience. Only candidates with industrial experience should apply.
• Teaching, academic, internship, banking, and non-profit experience will NOT be counted. Candidates from other engineering branches need not apply.
• Only Indian nationals can apply.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit is 32 years as on 01 May 2026 (for General and EWS candidates).
• Age Relaxation: OBC (NCL) - 3 years; SC/ST - 5 years; Persons with Benchmark Disability (40%+) - 10 years.

Salary

• 1st Year: Rs. 40,000 per month (consolidated)
• 2nd Year: Rs. 45,000 per month
• 3rd Year: Rs. 50,000 per month
• 4th Year: Rs. 55,000 per month
• An extra Rs. 12,000 per year is paid for insurance premium, attire, stitching, and footwear allowances.
• Candidates who complete 4 years get a Retention Bonus of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rs. 25,000 per completed year).
• Area allowance, TA/DA, and lunch allowance apply as per BEL rules for eligible postings.

Selection Process

Selection is done in two stages:

1. Written Test (85% weightage): Only candidates who qualify the written test move ahead. A category-wise list is drawn and candidates are called for interview in a 1:5 ratio.
2. Interview (15% weightage): Final selection is based on combined performance in the written test and interview.

The Written Test and Interview will be conducted in Navi Mumbai and Chennai. Call letters are sent by email only.

• Work in close liaison with the customer at site and with Strategic Communication SBU support
• Identify unserviceabilities, analyse faults, and carry out corrective and preventive maintenance
• Provide logistic support at work sites
• Accompany the mobile communication system during trials and deployment as per customer needs
• Handle maintenance and movement of spares at sites for fault resolution
• Keep periodic updates on the status of spares
• Maintain proper documentation and records at sites
• Coordinate between the customer and OEMs or service providers
