Advanced Weapons & Equipment India Limited (AWEIL) has released advertisement number AWEIL/06/2026 for the post of Executive (Corporate Communication) on full-time fixed-term contract basis. AWEIL is a Scheduled 'A' Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, with corporate headquarters at Kanpur. This is a single unreserved (UR) vacancy, and the role covers social media management, digital content creation, event management, media monitoring, and brand building for one of India's key defence PSUs.

Who Can Apply?

  • Essential Qualification: Bachelor's degree with minimum 60% marks PLUS a Two-Year Master's degree or Two-Year Diploma with minimum 65% marks in Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising & Public Relations from a Government recognised University or Institute.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in corporate imaging in public domain, in-house communication, designing and producing newsletters and other publications, media management, or in-depth knowledge of print and electronic mass media and advertising in a State/Central Government department, Institution, Undertaking, or a large reputed private sector organisation as an employee.
  • Language Skills: Excellent command of Hindi and English (spoken and written) with strong writing skills.
  • Computer Skills: Candidates with knowledge and proficiency in computers will be preferred.
  • Nationality: You must be an Indian citizen.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience designing digital content and posters using tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign.
  • Proven ability to manage content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Experience liaising with local and national media.
  • Prior experience in government institutions, especially in managing print/electronic media, branding, newsletters, and annual reports.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 35 years as on the last date of the advertisement (15 June 2026).

Salary

  • Total consolidated emoluments: Rs. 90,000 per month
  • This includes: Remuneration Rs. 80,000, Conveyance Rs. 6,000, Medical Rs. 3,000, and Mobile/Internet Rs. 1,000.
  • Salary will be enhanced by 10% every year.
  • No other allowances will be admissible.
  • Company quarter will be provided if available (necessary deduction as per company rules).
  • Leave: 12 days Casual Leave per year (1 CL per month on pro-rata basis, half-day option available).

Selection Process

  2. Personal Interview: Conducted by a duly constituted selection committee. Final selection is based on educational qualification, experience, and performance in the interview.

Responsibilities

  • Manage AWEIL's social media presence across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Create digital content, posters, and brochures using design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Coordinate event management activities and stakeholder communication for the company
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare daily press digests for senior management
  • Build and protect the AWEIL brand through advertising, newsletters, and annual reports
  • Handle crisis communication and manage internal communication channels across units
  • Liaise with local and national media for press releases and product launches
  • Support protocol and coordination work for visits, ceremonies, and corporate events

Minimum Qualification

Preferred Qualification
