For UDC and Librarian posts, selection is based purely on a written examination with objective-type multiple choice questions. Personal Assistant candidates go through an additional Stenography Proficiency Test (Stage 1) before the written exam (Stage 2) — the steno test is qualifying in nature, and the final merit list depends only on written exam scores. The written exam carries 200 marks across four subjects with a 2-hour duration.

  3. Practice English comprehension passages — error spotting, fill-in-the-blanks, and sentence improvement are common question types
  4. Time management is key — you get 120 minutes for 100 questions, roughly 72 seconds per question
  5. Solve previous APSSB CGLE papers — available on the official website under Previous Question Papers section
