Army Public School (APS) Shankar Vihar, Delhi Cantt is hiring teaching and non-teaching staff for the Academic Session 2026-27 on an adhoc basis. Who Can Apply?

PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

  • Education: Post-Graduation with minimum 50% marks in the relevant subject (or two-year integrated PG from NCERT Regional College of Education with 50%).
  • Professional: B.Ed. from an NCTE recognised institution with minimum 50% marks.
  • Other: Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of computer applications; CTET/TET mandatory at the time of appointment (not required for application).

TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher)

  • Education: Bachelor's degree with minimum 50% marks in the relevant subject/combination of subjects (or four-year integrated degree from NCERT).
  • Professional: B.Ed. from an NCTE recognised institution with minimum 50% marks; pass in CTET/TET (mandatory at appointment).
  • Other: Proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi; knowledge of computer applications.
  • Note: A Post-Graduate with less than 50% in Graduation can apply for TGT if they have 50% or more in Post-Graduation.

PRT (Primary Teacher)

  • Education: Graduation with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Professional: B.El.Ed. or 2-year D.El.Ed from an NCTE recognised institution with 50%; pass in CTET/TET (mandatory at appointment).
  • Other: Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of computer applications.

Coaches

  • Relevant qualification and experience in the specific sport (Fencing, Football, Basketball, Taekwondo, or Hockey).

Administrative Staff

  • Head Clerk: Graduate (minimum); 5-10 years experience in Office Management; computer knowledge (MS Office). Ex-Serviceman of clerk category preferred (up to age 55).
  • Administrative Supervisor: Ex-Serviceman preferred (up to age 55).
  • UDC/Accounts Clerk: B.Com. or 15 years of service as a clerk (for Ex-Servicemen); computer literate (MS Office, Tally); 5 years experience as a clerk or accounts clerk.
  • LDC: Graduate or 10 years of service as a clerk (Ex-Servicemen); computer literate; basic accounting knowledge.
  • Receptionist: Same as LDC with good communication skills.
  • Lady Nurse: 10+2 and diploma in nursing with minimum 5 years of experience. Female candidates only.
  • Lab Assistants (Biology/Chemistry/Computer): 10+2 with relevant subject background; Computer Lab Assistant needs 10+2 with one-year Diploma in Computer Science.

Proficiency in English and working knowledge of computers is mandatory for all posts.

Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 01 April 2026:

  • Below 40 years: No teaching experience required.
  • 40 to 55 years: Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in the appropriate category is required.
  • Head Clerk / Administrative Supervisor: Up to 55 years (for Ex-Servicemen).

Application Fee

  • All candidates: Rs. 250/- per application (per category applied)
  • Payment mode: Demand Draft (DD) only — in favour of Army Public School, Shankar Vihar, payable at Delhi
  • A separate DD is required for each category (PGT / TGT / PRT) you apply for.
  • No online payment accepted.

Selection Process

Selection is based on:

  1. Shortlisting: Applications are screened based on qualifications and experience. Only shortlisted candidates are called for interview.
  2. Interview: Tentatively scheduled in the first week of May 2026 at Army Public School, Shankar Vihar.

Note: Passing the Online Screening Test (OST) is not mandatory for appearing for the interview. However, OST-qualified candidates will be given preference. CTET/TET is not required at the time of application but is mandatory before appointment as TGT/PRT.
