Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) has released Notification No. 04/2026 dated 01 June 2026 for Hospital Administrator posts on a contract basis. The posts are under the Director of Secondary Health and candidates will work in Government Hospitals across Andhra Pradesh. This recruitment is useful for doctors who also have hospital administration training and want a leadership role in the state health system.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Basic qualification: You need MBBS or MDS.
• Compulsory qualification: You must have a Master's degree in Hospital Administration, Hospital Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• Registration: MBBS/MDS candidates need Andhra Pradesh Medical or Dental Council registration.

Experience and Skills

• Hospital administration experience: At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in hospital administration, hospital cadre quality, or formal quality management in the health sector.
• Leadership experience: At least 1 year in administration, leadership, or managerial roles in institutions recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
• Computer skills: You should know MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and web browsing for official data and documents.
• Language: Fluency in Telugu and English is required.
• Other skills: Communication, presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and multi-disciplinary team skills will be checked in the interview.

Age Limit

• For OC candidates, maximum age is 42 years as on 01 July 2025.
• SC/ST/BC/EWS: Maximum age is relaxed up to 47 years.
• Differently Abled candidates: Maximum age is relaxed up to 52 years.
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation is 3 years plus length of service in the armed forces as per rules.

Salary

• Hospital Administrators will get a fixed salary of Rs. 80,000 per month.
• The notice describes the post as a contract basis role under the Director of Secondary Health.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on 100 marks and the merit list will be displayed on the APMSRB website.

1. MBBS/MDS marks: Up to 45 marks for the basic qualification.
2. Hospital Administration/MBA marks: Up to 30 marks.
3. Year of passing: Up to 10 marks.
4. Contractual service weightage: Up to 15 marks for service as Hospital Administrator in State or Central Government facilities.
5. Interview and skill evaluation: Communication, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills are evaluated in the interview.
6. Certificate verification: Original documents are checked before final selection.

If two candidates score the same marks, the candidate with higher age gets better rank.
