The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB) is hiring 13 Epidemiologists under the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) of the National Health Mission. This is a walk-in recruitment on a contract basis, to be held on 13 July 2026 at the Board office in Mangalagiri. The Andhra Pradesh Medical Services Recruitment Board (APMSRB), under the Health, Medical & Family Welfare Department, has released Notification No. 11/2026 for 13 Epidemiologist posts under the IDSP. These posts are spread across 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh and are filled on a contract basis under the National Health Mission. There is no written exam — selection is based on your academic marks, service experience and document verification at the walk-in.

The number of vacancies may be increased or decreased. Horizontal reservation for women and EWS reservation apply as per state government rules.

Who Can Apply?

• You need a Medical degree (MBBS, BDS or AYUSH) with a Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Preventive and Social Medicine, Public Health or Epidemiology (such as MD, MPH, DPH, MAE), OR
• An M.Sc in Life Sciences with a 2-year MPH (Masters in Public Health), OR
• An M.Sc in Epidemiology with 2 years of experience in Public Health.
• Local Candidature: You must have studied from Class 4 to Class 10 in Andhra Pradesh (or migrated from Telangana within 3 years of 2 June 2014) to be treated as a local candidate.
• Applicants from states other than Andhra Pradesh are not entitled to any reservation.

Age Limit

• OC candidates: should not have completed 42 years as on the date of notification.
• EWS/SC/ST/BC candidates: should not have completed 47 years.
• Differently abled candidates: should not have completed 52 years.
• The reference date for age is the date of notification (27 June 2026).

Salary

• Medical Graduate (MBBS) with PG Degree (Public Health/MD/MPH/DPH/MAE): Rs. 60,000 per month
• Others (M.Sc Life Sciences/M.Sc Epidemiology): Rs. 50,000 per month
• Pay is as per State MHM norms and HR Policy.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on 100 points:

1. Academic Marks (75 points): Based on your percentage in the qualifying exam (MBBS/AYUSH/BDS or M.Sc Life Sciences/M.Sc Epidemiology). CGPA is converted to percentage as per government norms.
2. Service Weightage (10 points): Up to 10 points for service per completed year after your qualification.
3. Contract Service Weightage (15 points): Marks for contract service in Tribal (2.5/6 months), Rural (2.0/6 months) and Urban (1.0/6 months) areas, plus weightage for COVID-19 duties.
4. Document Verification: All certificates are checked at the walk-in. If you fail to submit your marks memos, your marks will be treated as zero and you will not be eligible.
