Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), under the Office of the Chief Executive Officer, North Lakhimpur Electrical Circle, has invited applications for nominating Prosumer Representatives on the District Level Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum (CGRF). The term of office is three years, and the role is governed by the Assam Electricity Commission (Redressal of Consumer Grievances) Regulations, 2022. Each nominated member holds office for 3 years or until age 70, whichever is earlier.

Who Can Apply?

• Prosumer Status: You must be a Prosumer — a person who consumes electricity from the APDCL grid and can also inject electricity into the grid using the same point of supply.
• Independence: You must not be in employment with APDCL or any of its agencies in any capacity for at least 3 years before the appointment.
• Good Antecedents: You must have no outstanding electricity dues or pending cases with APDCL at the time of appointment.
• Language (Desirable): Familiarity with the official language of Assam is preferred.

Age Limit

• No minimum age specified.
• Members shall not hold office after attaining the age of 70 years.
• Age reference date as on 01/04/2023 per application form.

Remuneration

• Sitting Fee: Rs. 2,000 per sitting of the Forum (revisable by AERC).
• Conveyance Allowance: Paid for attending official duties of the Forum.
• This is not a regular salary — it is a sitting-fee based engagement for the CGRF role.

Selection Process

Selection is direct without any written test:

1. Application Screening: APDCL nominates members from applications that meet the eligibility criteria.
2. Document Verification: Original documents are checked during verification (if called).
3. Final Selection: The decision of the Selection Board/Committee on eligibility, acceptance/rejection of application, and selection is final and binding.
