All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, through its Department of AYUSH, has released advertisement file no. AIIMS/RIS/AYUSH/06.05.2026/1212 for 1 Project Research Scientist – II (Medical) post under the ICMR-funded multicentric randomised controlled trial titled "Efficacy of 6-month Holistic Ayurveda Intervention on Sarcopenia Related Clinical and Biochemical Outcomes among Elderly". The post is purely contractual for one year (or till project completion), renewable annually based on performance. The position is suited for BAMS graduates with research experience, especially in clinical trials and GCP guidelines.

• Project Research Scientist – II (Medical): 1 post — Rs. 80,000/month + 10% HRA

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification (any one):

• BAMS with 3 years of post-qualification experience, OR
• BAMS with a postgraduate degree (or any equivalent / integrated postgraduate degree), OR
• BAMS with a PhD

Desirable:

• Prior experience in conducting or coordinating clinical trials
• Knowledge or certification in GCP (Good Clinical Practice) guidelines
• Higher qualifications will be preferred

Work experience will be counted only after obtaining the minimum essential qualification.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 40 years as on the last date of application
• Age and qualification may be relaxed at the discretion of the Director, AIIMS Rishikesh, or the Recruitment Committee.

Salary

• Consolidated salary: Rs. 80,000 per month
• House Rent Allowance (HRA): 10% (Rs. 8,000 per month)
• Total: approximately Rs. 88,000 per month
• Only the consolidated salary is admissible — no additional allowances or facilities will be provided.

Selection Process

The Recruitment Committee will decide the mode of selection:

1. Application Scrutiny: Only complete applications submitted on time will be considered.
2. Written Examination, Interview, or Both: The Recruitment Committee will decide based on requirements.
3. Document Verification: Originals must be produced at the time of interview/joining.

No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Recruitment Committee is final and binding.

• Assist the Principal Investigator with study planning, reporting and ethics committee submissions
• Liaise with the participating sites for protocol compliance and data quality
• Prepare progress reports and contribute to publications based on study outcomes
• Handle adverse event reporting and ensure participant safety throughout the trial
