All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh (AIIMS Rishikesh) is recruiting project staff for a study funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is handling this contractual engagement. The research aims to develop and validate a machine learning model that uses complete blood count parameters to predict hemoglobinopathies and distinguish them from iron deficiency anemia.

Posts and Disciplines

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project and appointment terms: The study runs for 3 years, but your appointment is initially for 6 months or until the project ends, whichever comes first. The notice also describes annual renewal based on performance; it does not promise an appointment for the full study period.
• Contract status: This engagement does not make you a permanent AIIMS employee. You cannot claim appointment to a regular institute post on the strength of this contract.
• Joining: If selected, you must join within 5 working days of the result being declared. Keep this short joining window in mind when considering the offer.
• Performance review: Your work will be assessed using the applicable performance indicators. Unsatisfactory performance can lead to termination without advance notice or compensation by the Principal Investigator or Nodal Officer.
• Leaving the post: You must give 1 month's notice to resign. If you give less notice, the institute requires an amount equal to 1 month's salary before issuing a relieving certificate.
• Travel: No travel or daily allowance is paid for attending the interview. You will need to arrange your own travel.
• Recruitment decisions: The committee may leave posts unfilled, cancel recruitment or change the number of posts. Its decisions are final; the Director or committee may also modify or relax the stated terms.
• Application accuracy: Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. False or misleading information can disqualify you at any point in the process.
