AIIMS Rishikesh Lab Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh (AIIMS Rishikesh) has released a project recruitment notice for the Project Technical Support-III / Sr. Lab Assistant post under an extramural research project on 46 XY differences in sex development. The post is on a contract basis for an initial 6 months, and extension depends on performance and project need. This is a useful opening for medical laboratory candidates who have worked with clinical samples, data entry, and research project coordination.

The selected person will support a research team working on next generation sequencing, targeted gene panels and urinary steroid profiling. The work includes blood and urine sample collection, sample processing, storage, transport coordination, consent support and data compilation. You should be ready for careful patient-facing sample work, lab records and research protocol follow-up. This is not a regular AIIMS or ICMR appointment, so you should apply only if you are comfortable with a temporary project role that can end when the project ends.

Essential Qualification and Experience

• Option 1: You must have passed 12th in Science and completed graduation in a relevant subject or field, such as B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology, with 3 years of experience in a medical laboratory.
• Option 2: You can also apply with a 2-year Diploma in Medical Lab Technology and 4 years of experience in a medical laboratory.
• Experience rule: Your experience should be gained after completing the minimum qualification.

Desirable Skills

• Mass spectrometry: Previous work experience with mass spectrometry will help your application.
• Computer knowledge: You need working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and internet programs, with documentary proof.
• Language: Fluency in Hindi and English, both oral and written, is required.

Age Limit

• Maximum age is 35 years.
• Age, qualification and experience will be checked as on the last date of application, 20 June 2026.
• Age relaxation: SC, ST, OBC and other categories can get relaxation as per Government of India rules issued from time to time.

Salary

• The selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 28,000 per month.
• HRA is admissible as per applicable project rules.
• This is a project human resource position, so regular staff benefits such as provident fund, pension, LTC, medical claim and staff quarters are not available.

Selection Process
