All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Raipur, one of India's premier central government medical institutions in Chhattisgarh, has announced a walk-in interview for 10 Junior Resident (Non-Academic) positions in its Trauma & Emergency department. This is a contractual engagement for 89 days under the Government of India Residency Scheme, carrying an attractive Level-10 pay scale. Note: EWS posts that are not carried forward or considered as backlog vacancy. In case unfilled, other category candidates may be allowed provisionally, subject to the condition that they will be considered as UR candidates only if the EWS seat is otherwise not filled.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have passed MBBS (including completion of internship) or an equivalent degree recognized by NMC (National Medical Commission).
• Registration: DMC / NMC / State Medical Council registration is mandatory before joining, if selected.
• Internship Completion: You must have completed your internship on or between 01 April 2024 and the date of walk-in interview (02 April 2026). Only medical graduates who finished their internship within this window will be considered.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years as on the date of walk-in interview (02 April 2026).
• Age relaxation: As per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-servicemen categories.

Salary

• You will receive Rs. 56,100 per month as basic pay under Level-10 (Cell No. 01) of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
• Plus Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) and other usual allowances as per Central Government rules.
• With NPA and allowances, your total monthly take-home will be significantly higher than the basic pay.

Selection Process

1. Walk-in Interview: Selection is through a walk-in interview held at AIIMS Raipur on 02 April 2026. There is no written exam for this recruitment.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates and documents will be verified at the time of the interview itself. You must carry all originals along with one set of self-attested photocopies.

Candidates who fail to bring the required documents will not be allowed to appear in the interview.

3. Pay the application fee of Rs. 1,000 through NEFT (if applicable) and keep the payment receipt ready.

5. Report at Gate No. 5, 4th Floor, Academics Section, New Academics & Administration Building, AIIMS Raipur between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM on 02 April 2026. No candidates will be allowed after 11:30 AM.

• Assist senior doctors and consultants in the Trauma & Emergency department with patient care and clinical procedures.
• Handle emergency cases, triage patients, and provide initial medical assessment under supervision.
• Keep accurate patient records, case histories, and discharge summaries as per hospital protocols.
• Work rotating shifts including night duties, weekends, and holidays as required by the department roster.
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain hygiene standards in the emergency ward.
• Assist in conducting diagnostic tests, interpreting reports, and administering prescribed treatment plans.
• Monitor post-operative and critically injured patients and report any changes in condition to senior staff.
• Participate in departmental academic activities, case presentations, and continuing medical education sessions.
