All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Nagpur has released a notification to fill 2 Tutor/Demonstrator posts in the Department of Pharmacology on a contractual basis for a period of one year. Both medical and non-medical candidates can apply. Selection is through a written test followed by interview. The post is open only to Indian citizens.

Vacancies are provisional and may be revised by the Executive Director, AIIMS Nagpur as per Government of India rules.

Who Can Apply?

For Medical Candidates

• A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956.
• Must have completed one year of Compulsory Internship.
• Desirable: Candidates with MD in the concerned subject from a recognised university/institute will be preferred.

For Non-Medical Candidates

• Postgraduate qualification (Master's degree) in the discipline or allied subject.
• Desirable: Candidates with PhD in the concerned subject will be preferred.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years as on 1 June 2026.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC.
• PwD candidates: Upper age limit relaxable by 10 years (General), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST).
• Reservation and age relaxation apply only for posts earmarked for the respective category.

Salary

• Candidates with medical degree recognised by the Medical Council of India: Rs. 56,100 per month (Level-10, Cell-1, 7th CPC) plus usual allowances.
• NPA is not applicable to non-medical candidates.
• Other allowances as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Written Test (MCQ-based): An MCQ-based written test in the concerned subject will be conducted for eligible candidates.
2. Interview: Candidates shortlisted through the written test will be called for an interview by the selection committee.

Original certificates (MBBS Degree, Internship Certificate, MCI Registration, Date of Birth, Caste Certificate, NOC) will be verified at the time of written test/interview. Without original documents, candidature will not be considered.

Job Terms

• The appointment is purely contractual for 1 year and may be renewed by mutual consent.
• The job is whole time. Private practice is prohibited.
• You may have to work in shifts and can be posted anywhere in the institute.
• 30 days' notice or one month's salary in lieu is required to resign.
• All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Court of Law at Nagpur, Maharashtra.

• Teach Pharmacology to MBBS and other medical students as per the institute curriculum
• Conduct practical demonstrations and laboratory sessions for students
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids and assessment materials
• Evaluate student assignments, practical work and examinations
• Assist senior faculty in academic, research and administrative work
• Maintain attendance records and student performance reports
• Work in shifts and follow the institute's discipline and conduct rules
