All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur) is recruiting Project Associate-I and Field Investigator staff for a DST-sponsored study in its Department of Community Medicine. The project examines whether millet-based supplementary nutrition can improve the nutritional status of preschool children aged 3 to 6 who attend Anganwadi centres in rural Nagpur district. This is field-linked public-health research, so the work combines office coordination at the institute with regular contact in the study area. The appointments are temporary and tied to the research project rather than regular AIIMS service.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Associate-I: this role supports the study's administration, budget records, documentation, recruitment activity and coordination between the institute and field team.
• Field Investigator: this role focuses on participant-facing fieldwork, data collection and the orderly transfer of study information from rural sites to the project team.

Post-wise Duties

Project Associate-I

You will help the principal investigator keep the project organised, track budget and administration records, coordinate participant recruitment and support accurate data management. Your prior exposure to research documentation will be useful when the team checks study files and prepares progress records.

Field Investigator

You will visit the selected field areas, work with local contacts and collect information from the study population using the approved research process. A key part of the job is keeping field data complete and usable before it reaches the central project records.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Project tenure: each appointment begins with a one-year tenure, and the engagement remains purely temporary.
• Field travel: selected staff must be ready to visit rural field areas across Nagpur district as the study needs.
• Shortlist validity: the recommended panel remains valid for one year from publication of the result.
• Joining: the selected person must join within seven days after the result because the study is time-bound.
• Communication: a working email address and mobile number are compulsory, as interview communication is sent by email.
• Travel cost: AIIMS Nagpur will not pay TA or DA for attending the interview.
• Exit condition: the appointee should give one month's notice before leaving; otherwise, recovery of one month's salary may apply.
• Performance: the investigator may end the appointment without notice if the appointee's performance is unsatisfactory.
