AIIMS Nagpur Project Staff Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Nagpur is recruiting project staff through its Department of Anatomy for the AI-ACIHR CATCH Trial. This Indian Council of Medical Research and AYUSH-funded study examines whether comprehensive Ayurvedic treatment, added to conventional biomedicine, can improve quality of life for people with unresectable head-and-neck cancer. The roles are temporary and tied directly to the research project.

The trial brings together integrative oncology, patient care and research methods. One role leads medical research activity and the other delivers Panchakarma technical support for female patients. If you are comfortable working in a clinical-research setting, handling sensitive patient information and following a defined protocol, this notice offers two distinct routes into the same study team.

Posts and Disciplines

• Project Research Scientist-I (Medical): a medical research role for the CATCH Trial, combining clinical understanding with study coordination, research documentation and data work.
• Project Technical Support-I (Panchakarma Technician, Female): a female technical role supporting Panchakarma procedures for cancer patients under an Ayurvedic clinician's guidance.

Post-wise Duties

Project Research Scientist-I (Medical)

You will help plan and run the study, including literature review, microplanning, data collection and quality supervision. The work also includes qualitative interviews, data analysis, report writing, dissemination, staff coordination, liaison with government officials, equipment upkeep and financial record support.

Project Technical Support-I (Panchakarma Technician, Female)

You will assist with Panchakarma procedures for cancer patients under clinical guidance and help keep project data organised. The role needs careful patient support, safe procedure-room practice and coordination with the medical and research team.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The initial contract is for 11 months and may be renewed for another period of up to 11 months, depending on performance and available project funds.
• No regular claim: The project appointment does not create a right to permanent absorption in AIIMS Nagpur or ICMR.
• Termination: Either side may end the contract with 30 days' notice or salary in place of notice.
• Attendance costs: AIIMS Nagpur will not pay TA, DA or accommodation for the assessment and interview.
• Updates: You are responsible for checking the institute website for eligibility lists, results and joining information; individual messages may not be sent.
• Technical-post screening: If the female Panchakarma Technician applicant pool is below the threshold in the notice, AIIMS Nagpur may move directly to interviews without prior written screening.
