About This Job

Apply for Counsellor and Case Worker posts in WCD Baloda Bazar. Relevant degree/diploma needed. Salary: Rs 18,420-25,780. Walk-in: 14 Oct 2026.

WCD Baloda Bazar Counsellor and Case Worker Recruitment 2026: Overview

The Department of Women and Child Development, Balodabazar-Bhatapara is engaging service providers for Sakhi One Stop Centres under Mission Shakti. The centres at Baloda Bazar and Simga support women affected by violence. This drive brings together counselling and case-support roles through a walk-in arrangement, with appointments made on a contractual service-fee basis.

Posts and Disciplines

  • Psycho-social Counsellor: The role is available at the Baloda Bazar and Simga centres and focuses on psychological support for women using the service.
  • Case Worker: This role is based at the Baloda Bazar centre and supports access to services and follow-up of cases.

Post-wise Duties

Psycho-social Counsellor

You will offer psychological counselling and guidance to women affected by violence and help them deal with trauma and stress while sheltered at the centre. Your work also includes suitable referrals and helping prepare each woman's case history.

Case Worker

You will work with the Centre Administrator to help women access the centre's services and support cases through to their conclusion. The centre provides round-the-clock support, so case workers work in shifts.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Initial engagement: The appointment is for up to two years. Extensions may be granted for one year at a time after reviewing your work, conduct, suitability and the department's needs.
  • Scheme-linked service: Your engagement lasts only while the scheme and the post continue. Service ends automatically if the appointment period expires without an extension.
  • Contract terms: You will enter into an agreement with the District Programme Officer. Either party may end the arrangement with one month's notice or the corresponding month's service fee.
  • Privacy: You must protect information about survivors and their cases. The notice calls for a confidentiality undertaking and allows termination if confidentiality is breached.
  • Conduct: Service providers must follow the Chhattisgarh Civil Services Conduct Rules, 1965. The work involves sensitive cases, so the conditions on conduct apply throughout the engagement.
  • Leave: Maternity leave is available under the notice's service conditions.
  • Travel for recruitment: You must meet your own travel and attendance costs for the walk-in and skill assessment.
  • Incomplete forms: Incomplete, unclear or incorrect applications can be rejected without a separate message to you. No new documents will be accepted during the claim-and-objection period.

Application Submission Notes

The venue is the Office of the District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development Department, Composite Building, Collectorate, Baloda Bazar. Registration and application collection run from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM; the office will not accept applications before the scheduled walk-in day.

Use a separate prescribed form for each post you want to apply for. Clearly state the post name and your complete contact details, including your mobile number and email address.
