AIIMS Mangalagiri, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, has released its July 2026 advertisement for 36 Senior Resident and Senior Demonstrator posts across 19 departments including Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Radiodiagnosis, Psychiatry and Pathology. These are contractual positions for a maximum tenure of 3 years, and there is no written exam for most candidates — selection is based directly on an interview. This is a strong opportunity for MD/DNB degree holders, as well as M.Sc./Ph.D. candidates in Anatomy, Biochemistry and Pharmacology, to gain clinical and academic experience at a premier central government hospital.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident Posts (Medical Candidates - Pay Level 11):

• You need an MD/DNB (or equivalent postgraduate medical degree) in the relevant specialty such as Anaesthesiology, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Radiodiagnosis, Psychiatry, or other listed departments.

For Senior Demonstrator Posts (Non-Medical Candidates - Pay Level 10):

• You need an M.Sc./M.Biotech degree in the concerned subject along with a Ph.D. in the same or an allied subject — applicable for Anatomy, Biochemistry and Pharmacology departments.

Your age and qualification will be counted as on the closing date of application, 5 August 2026.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 45 years as on the closing date of application, 5 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get up to 5 years, OBC candidates get up to 3 years.
• PwBD Relaxation: Up to 10 years for General category, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST candidates with benchmark disability.

Salary

• Senior Resident (Medical) posts carry a salary starting at Rs. 67,700 per month under Pay Level 11 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix, plus NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) and other allowances.
• Senior Demonstrator (Non-Medical, M.Sc. with Ph.D.) posts carry a salary of Rs. 56,100 per month under Pay Level 10, plus other allowances.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be done through the following stages:

1. Screening Test (if required): If the number of applications is high, a screening test based on MCQs in the concerned subject will be conducted before the interview.
2. Interview: Final selection is based on an interview for shortlisted candidates.
3. Document Verification: You must bring original certificates (degree, age proof, caste certificate, PwBD certificate if applicable) for verification before the interview.
