AIIMS Mangalagiri is hiring 79 Faculty members across Professor, Additional Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor grades in 33 clinical and para-clinical departments. All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Mangalagiri is one of the newer AIIMS institutes being developed by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), with the goal of correcting regional imbalances in tertiary healthcare and building self-sufficiency in graduate and postgraduate medical education. The institute has released Advertisement No. AIIMS/MG/Admin/Recruitment/03/Faculty/2026/01 to fill 79 Group A faculty posts spread across 33 departments including Cardiology, Neurology, Radiology, Surgery, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Neurosurgery, and more. The recruitment covers four grades — 37 Assistant Professor, 17 Professor, 14 Associate Professor, and 11 Additional Professor posts. OCI cardholders are also eligible to apply for these teaching posts, and both doctors with a medical postgraduate degree and non-medical candidates with a Doctorate in the relevant subject can apply, depending on the department.

The reservation break-up follows the standard roster of Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) candidates. Note that reservation does not apply to posts filled on a deputation basis, and the total number of vacancies is provisional and may change as per Government of India rules.

Who Can Apply?

The qualification and experience requirements differ by grade and by whether you're a medical or non-medical candidate — check the category that matches your profile below.

Professor (Medical Candidates):

• Qualification: MD/MS (or an equivalent recognized qualification) in the relevant discipline, or D.M./M.Ch. for super-speciality departments.
• Experience: 14 years of teaching/research experience after MD/MS, or 12 years after a 2/5-year D.M./M.Ch. course, or 11 years after a 3-year D.M./M.Ch. course.

Professor (Non-Medical Candidates):

• Qualification: Master's degree in the relevant subject plus a Doctorate from a recognized university.
• Experience: 14 years of teaching/research experience after the Doctorate.

Additional Professor:

• Medical (General Discipline): Same qualification as Professor, with 10 years of experience after MD/MS.
• Medical (Super-speciality): D.M./M.Ch. with 8 years (or 7 years for a 3-year course) of experience.
• Non-Medical: Master's + Doctorate with 10 years of experience.

Associate Professor:

• Medical (General Discipline): Same qualification as Professor, with 6 years of experience after MD/MS.
• Medical (Super-speciality): D.M./M.Ch. with 4 years (or 3 years for a 3-year course) of experience.
• Non-Medical: Master's + Doctorate with 6 years of experience.

Assistant Professor:

• Qualification: MD/MS (or equivalent) in the relevant discipline, following the standard AIIMS faculty recruitment norms. Check the official notification for the exact experience requirement applicable to this grade.

In exceptional cases, the Selection Committee may relax the prescribed qualifications and experience with the approval of the Competent Authority. Experience in Dental, Physiotherapy, or Nursing colleges will not be counted. Your experience will be counted as on 31 December 2026, but the final appointment is subject to verification of documentary evidence for all eligibility conditions.

Age Limit

• Your age will be counted as on 25 September 2026, the closing date of the online application.
• Experience Relaxation: SC/ST candidates get a one-year relaxation in the required teaching/research experience.
