All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani, West Bengal has released a notification for 75 posts of Senior Resident (Non-Academic) and Senior Demonstrator spread across 27 departments. AIIMS Kalyani is an Institute of National Importance set up under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). Selection is through interview only, conducted in hybrid mode (online and offline) on 20-21 July 2026. The engagement is a tenure post for a maximum of 3 years under the Central Residency Scheme.

• Neurosurgery: 5 posts

• Medical Oncology / Haematology: 4 posts
• Radio Diagnosis: 4 posts
• Surgical Oncology: 4 posts
• CTVS: 3 posts
• Nephrology: 3 posts
• Nuclear Medicine: 3 posts
• Pediatrics: 3 posts
• Urology: 3 posts
• Cardiology, Hospital Administration, Pediatric Surgery, PMR, Pulmonary Medicine: 2 posts each
• Dermatology, Trauma & Emergency Medicine, Radio Therapy, Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank, Anatomy, Forensic Medicine & Toxicology, Microbiology, Pharmacology: 1 post each

Who Can Apply?

Senior Resident (Medical Posts)

• A PG Medical Degree (MD/MS/DNB) or equivalent in the relevant discipline from a recognised University/Institute, as provided under the Residency Scheme.
• For super-speciality departments: DM/MCh/DNB or equivalent in the relevant discipline.
• For Hospital Administration: MD or Master's in Hospital Administration (full-time after MBBS) or DNB in Hospital Administration.
• For Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank: MD/DNB in Transfusion Medicine or Immunohematology & Blood Transfusion.
• For Trauma & Emergency Medicine: MD/DNB in Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Anesthesiology, General Medicine or Pediatrics.

Senior Demonstrator (Non-Medical Posts)

• For Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Biostatistics only: you need an M.Sc / M.Biotech / M.Stat in the concerned subject and a PhD in the concerned or allied subject from a recognised University/Institute.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years as on the date of publishing this notification on the Institute website.
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC get 3 years, and PwD (OPH) get 10 years.
• No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved (UR) vacancies.

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600 - 39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6,600 (6th CPC), which is Pay Level 11 of the 7th Pay Commission Pay Matrix.
• You also get Non-Practising Allowance (NPA) for medical graduates.
• Plus usual allowances such as DA and HRA as admissible to Central Government employees at Kalyani.

Application Fee

• Unreserved / OBC / EWS: Rs. 1,000
• SC / ST: No fee
• Payment is made through NEFT to "AIIMS KALYANI INTERNAL RESOURCES ACCOUNT" (State Bank of India, AIIMS Kalyani Branch).
• The fee once paid will not be refunded. If you apply for more than one post, you must pay a separate fee for each.

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following way:

1. Document Verification: Your application and documents are verified on reporting.
2. Interview (Hybrid Mode): Conducted in both online and offline mode on 20-21 July 2026 from 9:30 AM. The merit list for all categories is prepared on the basis of the personal interview.

Selection is based only on performance in the interview. There is no written exam.

How to Apply

1. Apply online through the application portal link given on aiimskalyani.edu.in before the last date.
2. Keep scanned PDF copies of all certificates, a scanned photograph, scanned signature and the scanned NEFT payment receipt ready.
3. Fill the online form and choose your interview mode (online or offline) - this choice is final and cannot be changed later.
4. Pay the fee through NEFT (if applicable) and submit the form. No hard copy will be accepted.
5. Only eligible candidates (as per the list uploaded on the website) will be allowed to appear for the interview on 20-21 July 2026.

In-service candidates must produce a No Objection Certificate from their present employer at the time of the interview.

• Manage patient care in the assigned speciality department as a senior resident
• Supervise and guide junior residents and interns during clinical duties
• Assist consultants in surgeries, procedures and complex case management
• Handle emergency and on-call duties in rotating shifts
• Keep detailed clinical records and follow treatment protocols
• Monitor admitted patients and update treatment plans as needed
• Support teaching and demonstration work in non-clinical departments where applicable
