All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Kalyani, West Bengal, has invited applications for 2 contract posts under an ICMR-funded project on therapeutic bacteriophages in the Department of Microbiology. The posts are Project Technical Support-I (1 post) and Office Helper (1 post). This is a purely temporary engagement for 6 months, extendable based on performance and project needs. If you want research lab experience at a central institute, this is a good short-term opportunity.

Who Can Apply?

For Project Technical Support-I (Maximum age 28 years):

• Qualification: BSc MLT / DMLT with 1 year of experience, OR MSc MLT / MSc Microbiology / MSc Biotechnology (or a relevant subject) with formal training in molecular diagnostics.
• Preferred: Experience in bacteriology, phage virology, or molecular diagnostics lab work, plus knowledge of computer applications.

For Office Helper (Maximum age 45 years):

• Qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2) pass or equivalent from a recognised board.
• Preferred: Bachelor or Diploma in Computer Applications, and knowledge of Hospital and Laboratory Management software and office management.

Age Limit

• Project Technical Support-I: maximum 28 years.
• Office Helper: maximum 45 years.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated monthly salary as per ICMR/DHR project norms.
• No other allowances will be given apart from the consolidated salary. No hostel or accommodation is provided.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in these steps:

1. Online Application: Fill the Google Form with your details.
2. Document Submission: Upload age proof, qualification, and experience certificates merged into a single PDF (in the same order).
3. Shortlisting: The list of shortlisted candidates, interview date, and venue are published on the AIIMS Kalyani website.
4. Written Test and/or Interview: Conducted offline only. Bring your original certificates and an updated CV.
5. Result: Published on the website; selected candidates are informed by email.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
