AIIMS Jodhpur Project Research Scientist-I Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur (AIIMS Jodhpur) is hiring for a temporary research position under an ICMR-funded project titled "Multistate Implementation Research Study on Suicide Risk Reduction and Improving Mental Well Being Among School and College Students." This is a contract-based role for 6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on your performance. The position is under Principal Investigator Dr. Neeti Rustagi, Professor in the Department of Community Medicine and Family Medicine. Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification (Option 1):

  • M.Sc. Clinical Psychology, or Post Graduate / Diploma in Clinical Psychology, or MPH with 2 years of professional experience in community-based research on mental health

Essential Qualification (Option 2):

  • Doctorate of Psychology (no experience required)

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in community-based projects
  • Effective counselling competencies

All qualifications must be from a recognised Board or University and obtained through full-time study.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 35 years (as on 15 April 2026)
  • Age relaxation: Experienced and skilled persons who have worked in other research projects may get age concession on a case-by-case basis (applicable for ICMR projects)

Salary

  • You will receive a consolidated salary of Rs. 56,000 per month
  • Plus HRA at 20% (Rs. 11,200), bringing total monthly pay to approximately Rs. 67,200
  • This is a consolidated sum with no other benefits. Pay may vary based on your experience, qualifications, and skill set.

Selection Process

Selection will be done through:

  1. Screening/Scrutiny Test: May be conducted depending on the number of applicants
  2. Walk-in Interview: Scheduled for 16 April 2026 at 09:00 AM at the Department of Community Medicine & Family Medicine, Second Floor, Medical College Building, AIIMS Jodhpur

You must report by 10:00 AM on the interview day. No candidates will be allowed after 10:00 AM.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys in remote and rural areas of Jodhpur to collect primary data for the ICMR research project
  • Carry out stakeholder interviews and maintain proper documentation of all records
  • Perform statistical analysis of collected data and prepare research reports
  • Review existing literature on mental health, suicide prevention, and well-being among students
  • Coordinate with the Principal Investigator for all project-related activities and progress updates
  • Build rapport with community stakeholders including school and college administrators, students, and families
  • Prepare written reports, presentations, and contribute to research publications

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

M.Sc. Clinical Psychology / PG or Diploma in Clinical Psychology / MPH with 2 years experience / Doctorate of Psychology

Preferred Qualification

Experience in community-based projects and effective counselling competencies

Required Skills

Field survey skills, data collection, statistical analysis, report writing, stakeholder engagement, community rapport building

Age Limit

18 - 35 years (as on 15 Apr 2026)

Age Relaxation:

  • Research Experience: Case-by-case basis for experienced persons in other research projects (ICMR projects only)

Freshers can apply

2 years of professional experience in community-based research on mental health required for M.Sc./PG/Diploma/MPH candidates. Not required for Doctorate of Psychology holders.

Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (20%) as per ICMR norms

HRA at 20% (Rs. 11,200 per month). Consolidated salary with no other benefits.
