All India Institute of Medical Sciences Guwahati (AIIMS Guwahati) has released a notification for the post of Data Entry Operator (DEO) on a purely temporary basis under an Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Govt. of India funded project. The project is titled "Evaluating the Effectiveness of a Community-based Peer-led Intervention (CPLI) in preventing Substance use among Adolescents: A Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial within School Health Programme under Ayushman Bharat", under Principal Investigator Dr. Rashmi Agarwalla. The project runs till March 2027. The selected candidate will need to travel to project sites for data collection.

Essential Qualification

• You must have a Graduate / Bachelor's Degree from a recognised university.
• You must have experience in data entry and field work in research.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience of working in educational settings and with multidisciplinary teams
• Good coordinating skills
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and/or Assamese
• Willingness to travel to project sites for data collection and entry

Note: Candidates currently working in a regular/permanent post under any government department or organisation are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 30 years (as on 5 May 2026, the last date of application)
• Age Relaxation: Applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates in reserved posts as per GoI rules. Ex-servicemen relaxation also applicable as per Govt. of India/ICMR norms.

Salary

• Selected candidate will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 29,200 per month.
• Note: No PF, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim or accommodation benefits — this is a purely temporary project position.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in up to 2 stages:

1. Application Screening: Applications are scrutinised against essential and desirable qualifications. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the next stage. If a large number of candidates apply, higher criteria or desirable qualifications may be used for shortlisting.
2. Written Test / Interview: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a written test and/or interview. Tentative date: 15 May 2026 (check the AIIMS Guwahati website for the confirmed date). You must bring a hard copy of the filled application form, passport-size photograph, CV, and all original documents at the time of interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending.

The decision of the selection committee, subject to approval by the Executive Director of AIIMS Guwahati, will be final. Results will be published on the AIIMS Guwahati website.

• Ensure data quality by cross-checking entries and correcting errors promptly
• Communicate effectively with project staff and community stakeholders in English or Assamese
