Who Can Apply?

Principal Library and Information Officer

• Service condition: Officers under Central, State or UT Governments, universities, statutory bodies, autonomous bodies or R&D organisations can apply if they hold an analogous post on regular basis.
• Alternative service condition: Officers with at least 5 years in Level 12 or 8 years in Level 11, or equivalent, can also be considered.
• Qualification: You need at least a second class Master's Degree in Science, preferably Biological Sciences, from a recognised university or equivalent.
• Library qualification: You also need a Degree or equivalent Diploma in Library Science from a recognised institution or university.
• Experience: You need 7 years of supervisory experience in a library of standing.

Senior Veterinary Officer

• Service condition: Officers under Central, State Government, UT administration, autonomous bodies or statutory bodies can apply if they hold an analogous post.
• Alternative service condition: Officers with 5 years in Level 10 or 8 years in Level 6, or equivalent, can also be considered.
• Qualification: You need a Degree in Veterinary Science or Animal Husbandry from a recognised university.
• Experience: You need 8 years of practical experience in scientific breeding, maintenance and care of laboratory animals.

Desirable Qualifications

• Library post: Master's Degree in Library Science, training in Medical Librarianship, documentation experience, and knowledge of Sanskrit plus a modern European language other than English are desirable.
• Veterinary post: A postgraduate degree or diploma in Genetics from a recognised university or institute is desirable.

Age Limit

• Principal Library and Information Officer: Upper age limit is 56 years.
• Senior Veterinary Officer: Upper age limit is 56 years.
• Reference: The notice is for promotion or deputation, so applicants should also follow their parent department rules for forwarding the application.

Salary

• Principal Library and Information Officer: Pay Matrix Level 13. As per 7th CPC, Level 13 corresponds to Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900 per month.
• Senior Veterinary Officer: Pay Matrix Level 11. As per 7th CPC, Level 11 corresponds to Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month.
• Deputation terms: Deputation will follow standard Department of Personnel and Training terms and conditions.

Selection Process
