AIIMS New Delhi is hiring 1 Consultant (Scientific/Technical, Non Medical) for an ICMR-funded research project in the Department of Neurosurgery and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery (CNC AIIMS). AIIMS Delhi Consultant (Scientific/Technical, Non Medical) Recruitment 2026 — 1 Post

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has advertised for a contractual Consultant position under the ICMR-funded project titled "Creation of a Gold Standard Medical Imaging Dataset of Dural-Based Lesions Treated with Primary Gamma Knife Radiosurgery or Microsurgery for the Development of Artificial Intelligence Tools" (Project Code: I-1595). The project runs under the guidance of Dr. Shweta Kedia, Professor, Department of Neurosurgery and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, CNC AIIMS, New Delhi. The appointment is purely contractual for approximately 10 months, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India. Professionals with medical or science/technology backgrounds who want to contribute to cutting-edge AI-based medical imaging research should apply.

Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

  • Professionals holding MBBS, M.Sc, or M.Tech degree from a recognised institution
  • Minimum 2 years of R&D (Research and Development) experience
  • Minimum 2 published research papers in peer-reviewed journals

Preferred Skills (Desirable)

  • Experience in monitoring or handling community-oriented cohort projects
  • Good scientific writing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of computer applications, business intelligence tools, data management, or data synthesis for administrative management of clinical research
  • Skill and knowledge of statistical software such as SPSS, STATA, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating a gold standard medical imaging dataset of dural-based lesions treated with Gamma Knife Radiosurgery or Microsurgery
  • Coordinate and monitor the community-oriented cohort research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator
  • Manage clinical research data including data entry, data management, and data synthesis
  • Handle statistical analysis using software tools such as SPSS, STATA, or Python
  • Prepare scientific reports, manuscripts, and research documentation for publication
  • Support the development of Artificial Intelligence tools for medical imaging analysis
  • Maintain proper records of research activities and ensure compliance with ICMR project guidelines
