Responsibilities

  • Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education in your specialty at AIIMS-CAPFIMS Campus
  • Conduct clinical rounds, supervise residents, and mentor junior faculty members
  • Carry out research in your specialty and publish in recognized medical journals
  • Manage patient care in the assigned department and lead clinical teams
  • Participate in academic administration, curriculum development, and examination duties
  • Contribute to institutional development and policy-making at the departmental level

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

MBBS with MD/MS or equivalent postgraduate degree, plus DM/M.Ch or equivalent super-specialty degree for relevant posts

Preferred Qualification

Higher research publications and academic contributions in the concerned specialty

Required Skills

Teaching and research experience in recognized medical institution, NMC/MCI/DCI registration

Age Limit

35 - 50 years (as on 28 Mar 2026)

Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 5 years
  • Government Servant: 5 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

Experience

11.0 - 14.0 years

14 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS in the specialty; OR 12 years after M.Ch/DM (2-year or 5-year course); OR 11 years for candidates with 3-year or 6-year DM/M.Ch degree. Experience must be from NMC/MCI/DCI/UGC recognized institution.

  • DNB Equivalence: DNB/DrNB holders must provide equivalence certificate with MD/MS/DM/M.Ch. Training must be from hospital with 500+ beds or candidate must have 1 year senior residency from NMC recognized institution.
  • Contractual Mode (Post-Retirement): Retired faculty from Institutes of National Importance (INIs) and Government Medical Colleges can apply. Maximum age 68 years on last date. Contract for 1 year or till age 70, whichever is earlier.
  • Maximum Age After Relaxation: Upper age limit even after relaxation shall not exceed 55 years on cut-off date.
