Assam Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF) is hiring Facility and Maintenance Engineers for the cancer centres it runs at Tezpur, Lakhimpur, Tinsukia and Golaghat. The foundation is a joint partnership between the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts, set up in December 2017 to build a three-level cancer grid in the state so that a patient can get diagnosis and treatment near home instead of travelling to Guwahati or out of Assam.

A cancer centre is one of the hardest buildings to keep running. Linear accelerators, imaging rooms, operation theatres and chemotherapy day-care units all need clean power, steady cooling and working medical gas and water lines every hour of the day, and a breakdown in any of them stops treatment for patients who have travelled a long way for it.
