Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Government of India Public Sector Enterprise and Mini Ratna Category-I organisation, has released Advertisement No. 04/2026/CHQ/CN for consultant posts in the Planning Directorate. EdCIL is handling the online application process on behalf of AAI. The engagement is on a one-year contract with possible extension based on requirement and rules.

This is an airport planning role for early-career architecture and data professionals. The Architect post focuses on terminal buildings, passenger flow, layouts and planning reports. The Data Analyst post supports airport planning data, MIS reports, dashboards, cleaning, validation and analytical summaries.

Who Can Apply?

Associate Consultant (Architect)

• Qualification: You need a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) from a recognised university or institution.
• Registration: Registration with the Council of Architecture is mandatory.
• Experience: You should have 0-3 years of post-qualification experience in airport or transportation sector projects.
• Knowledge: Terminal building planning, space management and passenger flow simulation are named in the notice.
• Tools: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D visualisation and MS Office knowledge are required.
• Preferred: Master's in Architecture, Urban Planning or Transport Planning is preferred but not mandatory.

Associate Consultant (Data Analysts)

• Qualification: You need a bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics or computer science, or engineering in IT, computer science, civil, electrical or electronics.
• Other degree options: Data Science, Information Systems, Geography and Operations Research are also listed as acceptable fields.
• Experience: You should have 0-3 years of experience, strong academic work or project exposure in data analysis, MIS reporting, dashboards, business analytics, data cleaning, validation, statistical analysis or report preparation.
• Preferred: PG qualification or diploma in data analytics, data science, business analytics, statistics or management is preferred.
• Tools: Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Studio, SQL, Python basic level or similar data tools will help.

Work Areas by Post

Architect work: You may work on design briefs, drawings, consultant report review, terminal building concepts, city-side development, passenger handling capacity studies and prefeasibility report inputs. This is useful if your project experience is linked with airport, transport or urban infrastructure planning.

Data Analyst work: You may support data extraction, cleaning, transformation, airport planning analysis, traffic and infrastructure performance reports, dashboards, visualisations and digitisation of Planning Directorate datasets. AAI has also mentioned government datasets, surveys, feasibility studies, logistics and public sector planning reports as useful exposure areas.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 30 years for both Associate Consultant posts.
• Age, qualification and experience will be counted as on 28 June 2026, the closing date.

Salary

• Monthly pay: Rs. 70,000 all-inclusive for Associate Consultant (Architect).
• Monthly pay: Rs. 70,000 all-inclusive for Associate Consultant (Data Analysts).
• The notice does not mention separate allowances outside the all-inclusive monthly pay.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be based on academic qualification, experience, document verification and interview. No written exam is mentioned in the advertisement.
