Airports Authority of India Advisor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post
Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Government of India Public Sector Enterprise and Mini Ratna Category-I PSU, has released Advertisement No. 09/2026/CHQ/AD for engagement of an Advisor in the CAP Directorate. This is a specialist advisory role for 11 months, meant for retired senior officers with Air Traffic Control and ATCO licensing administration experience. The posting is at AAI CHQ, New Delhi.
Role focus: The notice links this post with regulatory exemptions, infrastructure growth, new CAP initiatives, and oversight work. The Advisor will support ED(CAP) on matters such as ATCO licensing qualifications, background checks for ATSTO enrolment, commissioning-related administrative needs for major airports, DGCA mental health circular implementation, pan-India e-logbooks, and training data monitoring. This makes the post suitable for a retired senior officer who has handled aviation operations, ATC administration, and licensing-linked coordination.
Who Can Apply?
Educational and Service Background
- Government retirees: You should be a retired Central or State Government employee from Pay Matrix Level-14 or above under the 7th CPC.
- CPSE retirees: You should have retired from a CPSE in a pay scale equivalent to E-6 level or above under the 3rd PRC.
- Experience: You need experience in Air Traffic Control with at least 1 year of administrative work related to ATCO Licensing.
- Integrity condition: You should be clear from vigilance and disciplinary angles at the time of retirement.
- Criminal case condition: No criminal case should be pending against you. You need to self-certify this in the application.
Important fit check: This is not an entry-level advisory opening. AAI is asking for retired senior officers who already understand ATC systems, licensing administration, government/PSU procedures, and regulatory coordination. Before applying, check whether your retirement pay level and work records clearly support the eligibility claim, because AAI will shortlist only applicants who match the notice.
