Sainik School Satara, which functions under the Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence, has released a vacancy notice for one Nursing Assistant/Nursing Sister post. The selection happens through a walk-in interview on 13 May 2026, which means there is no online application — you simply report at the school office in person. The selected candidate will need to stay on the school campus to attend to students in this residential public school.

Essential Qualifications

• Nursing diploma or degree from a recognised institution
• 5 years of experience in nursing OR ex-serviceman of Medical Assistant trade with at least 5 years of service after training
• You must be willing to stay in the school campus

Desirable

• Good communication in English
• Higher qualification and experience in a residential public school will be preferred

Only Indian Nationals are allowed to apply.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 50 years old as on 13 May 2026.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 20,000 per month.
• The post is on an ad-hoc/temporary basis, so regular government allowances (DA, HRA) are not applicable.
• Free accommodation in the school campus is provided as part of the job.

Selection Process

The walk-in interview on 13 May 2026 has three stages:

1. Document Verification: 0900 to 1000 hrs at Sainik School Satara office
2. Written Test (1030 to 1130 hrs): 50 marks total — General Knowledge (5 marks), General English (10 marks), Basic Maths (10 marks), Subject Test of appropriate level (25 marks)
3. Skill/Proficiency Test followed by Interview: covers Burn & Basic Dressing, Snake bite treatment, Fracture treatment, CPR, First aid, and dealing with cases of injury/sickness of students in a residential school

Candidates who report after 1030 hrs on 13 May 2026 will not be allowed to appear for the examination.
