NCRTC Assistant Manager Operations Recruitment 2026: Overview

National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is hiring Assistant Managers in Operations through direct recruitment under Vacancy Notice 36/2026. NCRTC is a joint venture of the Government of India and the state governments of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, working under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs to build the Namo Bharat high-speed regional rail network.

The timing matters: the Delhi–Meerut corridor is now fully open for commercial operations, and the Delhi–Gurugram–SNB–Alwar and Delhi–Panipat–Karnal corridors are planned in the same first phase. These posts sit on the running side of the system — station, train and control-centre operations — rather than on construction.

This is a drive for working professionals. You must be employed on the eligibility date, and the notice accepts engineers from government pay scales, public-sector (IDA) scales and the private sector, each judged against its own pay or CTC benchmark. If your background is in SCADA, IoT, rail systems, safety systems or digital operations, this is the kind of role the notice is written for.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Unreserved posts: Both posts are unreserved (UR). SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates may apply against them but get no age or qualifying-mark relaxation there. The PwBD age concession applies whether or not the post is reserved.
• Private-sector CTC proof: If you work in the private sector, your CTC is checked only through Form 16, your ITR, or the last 12 months' salary slips (gross salary component).
• Experience weightage: Private-sector experience counts at 80% and government experience at 100% when the two are combined. Teaching and freelancing experience do not count.
• Service bond: You must sign a bond of Rs. 5 lakh plus GST and the cost of any training, agreeing to serve NCRTC for at least three years. Probation follows company policy.
• Posting and shifts: You can be posted at any NCRTC office, workplace or project unit, or with one of its subsidiaries or joint ventures, and you may be put on shift operations.
• Medical fitness: LASIK or any radial keratotomy for vision correction is not allowed, and candidates with cancer or kidney/liver failure or transplantation are not considered.
• Not joining: If you are selected but do not join, you are barred from applying to NCRTC for two years.
• Deputationists: If you are currently on deputation, NCRTC judges your eligibility on your substantive grade in your parent organisation.
• Disputes: Any recruitment dispute falls under the Delhi High Court, and canvassing leads to disqualification.
