MPYPIL, the State Transport Undertaking set up by the Transport Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, has released a notification for 146 senior management posts spread across 29 different roles at the Chief General Manager (CGM), General Manager (GM) and Assistant General Manager (AGM) levels. This recruitment covers leadership positions in Policy & Research, Enforcement & Quality Control, Finance & Accounts, IT/ITMS, HR, Route Planning, Civil/Electrical Engineering and Business Development. All posts are on a one-year contract with fixed consolidated pay, and MPYPIL may absorb well-performing candidates into a regular pay scale after a successful probation period.

Vacancy Breakdown

Reservation is available for UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and Women (W) candidates as per Madhya Pradesh government rules, but only for MP Domicile candidates.

Who Can Apply?

Chief General Manager Posts (Rs. 2,06,808/month):

• Policy & Research: Postgraduate qualification in any discipline, or Joint Director-equivalent officers in Central/State Government/PSUs, with minimum 3 years of policy formulation experience within a total 15-year service period.
• Enforcement & Quality Control: B.E./B.Tech (Automobile/Mechanical/Civil/Electrical), preferably from IIT/NIT, or retired Additional SP/equivalent officers, with 15 years of enforcement/quality-control experience.
• Finance & Accounts: MBA (Finance)/CA/ICWA, or Joint Director-equivalent officers in MP Finance Services, with 15 years of finance experience.

General Manager Posts (Rs. 1,34,232/month):

• You need a B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT/E&TC/Civil/Electrical)/MCA/MBA/BBA depending on the stream, with a preference for postgraduate qualifications.
• You need a minimum of 12 years' experience in the relevant field (IT/ITMS, contract management, HR, route planning, civil/electrical works or business development).

Assistant General Manager Posts (Rs. 1,13,064/month):

• You need a B.E./B.Tech/MCA/MBA in the relevant stream (IT, ITMS, Civil, Electrical, Finance, Software Engineering).
• You need a minimum of 10 years' experience in the relevant field.

Age Limit

• CGM and GM posts: You should be between 45 and 63 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• AGM posts: You should be between 35 and 63 years old as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Horizontal and vertical reservation benefits are available only to eligible MP Domicile candidates. Non-domicile candidates of MP are treated as Unreserved (UR).
• Only your Class 10 (High School) certificate/mark sheet will be accepted as proof of age.

Salary

• Chief General Manager: Rs. 2,06,808 per month (consolidated pay).
• General Manager: Rs. 1,34,232 per month (consolidated pay).
• Assistant General Manager: Rs. 1,13,064 per month (consolidated pay).
• If you are a retired Central/State Government employee, your pay will be fixed either by deducting your pension from your last drawn salary, or at 50% of your last drawn salary.
• Well-performing contractual employees may be absorbed into a regular pay scale after completing probation. The Chief General Manager is exempt from serving a probation period for absorption purposes.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Your selection will happen in the following stages:

1. Merit List Preparation: Based on your eligibility, qualification, experience and suitability.
2. Interview cum Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must appear with original documents, self-attested photocopies, photographs and a copy of the application form.
3. Medical Fitness Test: You must submit a medical fitness certificate from a government-recognized medical board.

In case of a tie in merit, preference goes to the elder candidate; if ages match, the candidate with a higher percentage in the essential qualification is preferred.
