The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Ranipet is hiring 2 Protection Officers (Non-Institutional Care) on a one-year temporary, consolidated-pay contract. If you have a postgraduate or graduate degree in Social Work, Sociology, Child Development, Psychology, Law, Public Health or a related field, you can apply offline. Your completed application must reach the office by 3 August 2026. You should not be older than 42 years to apply.
District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Ranipet Protection Officer Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts
The District Child Protection Unit, Ranipet, functioning under the District Collector's Office, has invited applications for 2 Protection Officer (Non-Institutional Care) posts. This is a temporary engagement for one year on a consolidated pay contract basis. Both freshers with a postgraduate qualification and graduates with 2 years of relevant field experience can apply, making this a good opportunity for candidates interested in child welfare and social work.
Who Can Apply?
- Qualification (Option A): Post Graduate degree in Social Work / Sociology / Child Development / Human Rights Public Administration / Psychology / Psychiatry / Law / Public Health / Community Resource Management from a recognized university
- Qualification (Option B): Graduate degree in the same subjects with 2 years' experience in project formulation, implementation, monitoring or supervision, preferably in Women & Child Development or Social Welfare
- Computer Skills: You must be proficient in using computers

- Coordinate with Child Welfare Committees and other authorities on non-institutional care cases
- Maintain records and case files for children under the unit's care
- Conduct home visits and social investigations related to child welfare cases
- Support project planning, implementation, and monitoring activities of the District Child Protection Unit
- Assist in awareness programs on child rights and protection schemes
- Prepare reports for the District Collector's office and state child protection authorities
