OUAT Guest Faculty Agriculture Horticulture 2026

OUAT Guest Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is engaging Guest Faculty for its College of Agriculture and College of Horticulture at Chiplima in Sambalpur, Odisha. The notice brings together agriculture, horticulture and forestry subjects under the same walk-in drive. The key point for you is the temporary academic engagement: joining as guest faculty does not give you a claim to a regular university appointment.

Posts and Disciplines

• Extension Education: a guest-faculty assignment in the extension education subject covered by the Chiplima colleges' notice.
• Fruit Science and Horticulture Technology: the subject-specific guest-faculty role covering fruit science and horticulture technology.
• Floriculture and Landscape Architecture: the advertised role for this horticulture discipline.
• Post Harvest Management: a separate subject assignment within the same guest-faculty drive.
• Agroforestry: the forestry-related subject included in this combined notice.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Academic tenure: The engagement covers the 2026-27 academic year. OUAT may end it before the academic year finishes.
• Regular appointment: Your guest-faculty engagement does not create a right to a regular post at OUAT.
• Leaving the assignment: You must give one month's notice if you wish to leave. Release follows acceptance of your resignation.
• Panel validity: The panel remains valid for one year. Positions may increase or decrease according to need and approval, and the authority may cancel the interview process.
• Travel: OUAT will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending.
• Schedule updates: If the walk-in cannot take place as planned, OUAT says it will announce the replacement schedule on its website on the afternoon of the preceding working day. Check for updates before travelling.
