BRIC-THSTI Senior Research Scientist Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an institute under the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology. This post is for a clinical research project titled Action-III Trial, a multi-country and multi-centre trial related to antenatal corticosteroids and newborn outcomes. The selected person will be based at THSTI Faridabad with regular visits to hospital sites in Delhi.

This role is meant for doctors and dental graduates with strong clinical research experience, especially in public health, community medicine, maternal health, child health, or clinical trials. The work includes protocol compliance, safety reporting, site coordination, training and trial oversight.

THSTI has research centres and core facilities covering maternal and child health, virus research, tuberculosis research, microbial research, immunology, drug discovery, clinical development, data management and translational research. For this post, that background matters because the selected scientist will coordinate across clinical teams, project staff, monitoring teams and data management teams while keeping the trial aligned with protocol and regulatory rules.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification and Experience

• MD/MS/DNB route: MD, MS, DNB or equivalent in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, or Community Medicine from an MCI-recognised university with at least 5 years of post-qualification clinical research experience.
• MDS route: MDS or equivalent degree from a recognised university with at least 6 years of post-qualification clinical research experience.
• MBBS/BDS route: MBBS, BDS or equivalent degree from a recognised university with at least 8 years of post-qualification clinical research experience in maternal and child health.
• Preferred area: Public health, community medicine, maternal health, child health, multi-site clinical trials or clinical research leadership.

Desirable Skills

• Trial leadership: Experience in clinical research or trials, especially maternal-child health or multi-site RCTs.
• Quality and safety: Trial monitoring, safety planning, quality assurance, IRB or ethics submissions and regulatory processes.
• Guidelines: Working knowledge of ICH-GCP and national guidelines.
• Research output: Peer-reviewed publications and manuscript preparation experience will help.
• Team handling: Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage competing priorities and solve site-level problems is important.
• IMP oversight: The notification includes receipt, storage, accountability, reconciliation and destruction of investigational medicinal products.

Age Limit

• Maximum age limit is 45 years.
• Age reference date: The interview date, 04 June 2026, is the crucial date for age, qualification and experience.
• Age relaxation: SC/ST get 5 years, OBC get 3 years, PwBD get 10 to 15 years depending on category, and Central Government servants can get relaxation up to 5 years as per rules.

Salary

• Monthly consolidated salary is Rs. 1,50,000.
• This is a short-term project position, and extension depends on performance and project tenure.

Selection Process

The selection process is through a walk-in written test, skill test, or interview as decided by THSTI.

1. Walk-in Reporting: Report at THSTI, NCR Biotech Science Cluster, Faridabad-Gurugram Expressway, Faridabad by 9:00 am on 04 June 2026.
2. Document Check: Carry original documents, photocopies, CV/resume and valid ID for verification.
3. Screening, if needed: If many people attend, THSTI may screen candidates based on higher or more relevant qualification and experience.
4. Written Test/Skill Test/Interview: THSTI may conduct written test, skill test and/or interview for final selection.
