Sambalpur University is engaging Guest Faculty (Assistant Professor) in the P.G. Department of Sociology. If you meet UGC Guidelines 2018, or have a strong postgraduate record when Ph.D./NET candidates are not available, you can attend the walk-in interview. Sambalpur University has issued a notice dated 08 June 2026 for engagement of Guest Faculty at the postgraduate level in Sociology. The engagement is a temporary teaching arrangement for six months or until regular recruitment is completed, whichever happens earlier. Age Limit

Honorarium

• Assistant Professor Guest Faculty without Ph.D.: Rs. 750 per class, up to 60 classes per month, with maximum payment of Rs. 45,000 per month.
• Administrative work note: If more than 40 classes are taken in a month, administrative assignment may be given from the next month.

The payment is based on the number of classes taken, so it should not be read as a fixed monthly salary for every person. The maximum amount applies only when the class count reaches the stated ceiling of 60 classes per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
