Who Can Apply?
Technical and Workshop Posts
- Foreman: B.E./B.Tech First Class in Mechanical or Production Engineering or equivalent.
- Workshop Assistant: Matric with National Trade Certificate and 3 years experience in foundry, sheet metal, machine shop, carpentry, fitting or welding.
- Workshop Instructor: Matriculation with 3-year Diploma in the concerned trade.
- Lab Technician: Diploma in Civil or Computer Engineering with 5 years experience.
- Maintenance Assistant: Matriculate with National Trade Certificate in Electrical Trade.
Administrative, Library, Pharmacy and Support Posts
- Junior Stenographer: Graduate with 65 WPM shorthand, 35 WPM typing, and 6-month Computer Applications certificate.
- Accounts Assistant: Graduate with 50% marks for open merit and 45% for reserved categories; PG with 50% or Ph.D. also eligible.
- Pharmacist: 10+2 with Diploma from State Medical Faculty or Diploma in Pharmacy with 5 years experience.
- Junior Assistant: Graduate with 40 WPM computer typing speed.
- Store Keeper: B.Sc. with experience in handling stores.
- Library Assistant: Bachelor's degree in Library Sciences.
- Driver: Middle pass with commercial hill-road driving licence and 5 years experience.
- MTS: Minimum Matric and maximum 10+2.
Jammu and Kashmir domicile is mandatory for all posts. You must upload the domicile certificate issued by the competent authority.

- Highest Pay Scale: Foreman gets Level-6E, Rs. 35,900 to Rs. 1,13,500 per month.
- Junior Stenographer: Level-6B, Rs. 35,600 to Rs. 1,12,800 per month.
- Workshop Assistant / Accounts Assistant: Level-5, Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month.
- Level-4 Posts: Workshop Instructor, Lab Technician, Pharmacist, Junior Assistant and Store Keeper get Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month.
- Level-2 Posts: Maintenance Assistant, Library Assistant and Driver get Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month.
- MTS: SL1 pay scale of Rs. 14,800 to Rs. 47,100 per month.

Responsibilities
- Handle technical, clerical, workshop, laboratory, library, store, driving or support duties for UIET Kathua
- Keep records, registers, stock details, files and official documents updated
- Assist faculty, officers, workshop teams, laboratory staff and administrative sections as per post
- Manage typing, stenography, accounts, stores or computer-based office work where applicable
- Operate workshop tools, lab equipment, library systems or vehicles according to assigned role
- Follow University rules, safety practices, office procedures and reporting requirements
- Prepare reports, letters, registers and other documents needed for day-to-day work
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Post-wise qualification ranges from Matric/Middle pass to B.E./B.Tech, Diploma, Graduate, B.Sc., Library Science, Pharmacy or trade certificate. J&K domicile is mandatory.
Preferred Qualification
Relevant post-wise experience such as workshop trade experience, lab experience, pharmacy experience, store handling, hill-road driving or typing/stenography skills where required.
