National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has released vacancy notice numbers 26/2026 to 32/2026 for absorption-basis posts in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail project. The recruitment covers technical, operations, safety, controller and station roles across seven vacancy groups. This is an in-service railway and metro O&M opportunity, so freshers should not apply unless they have the required post-qualification experience.

Technical Engineering Posts

• Civil/Track: 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Electrical: 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Signalling & Telecom: 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, ECE, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, IT or equivalent.
• Rolling Stock Electrical: 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science or equivalent.
• Rolling Stock Mechanical: 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• AFC Systems: 3-year Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, IT, ECE, Electrical & Electronics or equivalent.

Operations Posts

• Train Manager / Station Manager / Depot Controller / Operations Controller: 3-year Engineering Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in any discipline from a government-recognised university or institute.

Experience Requirement

• Minimum experience: You need 3 years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
• Where the experience must be from: Operations and Maintenance departments of Indian Railways, government-owned or operated railways, metro railways or RRTS systems.
• Proof needed: You must submit a Competency Certificate or Experience Certificate from your employer with year-wise work details.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 45 years.
• Reference date: Eligibility criteria are counted as on 31 May 2026.

Salary

• Pay scale: Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,25,000 per month under IDA Non-Executive scale NE-4.
• Allowances: The pay includes perks, HRA, medical benefits, EPF, gratuity and other benefits as per NHSRCL rules.
• Bond on joining: Selected candidates must execute a surety bond of Rs. 3,00,000 to serve for at least 4 years.

Application Fee

• UR / EWS / OBC: Rs. 400 plus transaction processing charges.
• SC / ST / Women: No application fee.
• Refund rule: Once paid, the recruitment fee and transaction charges will not be refunded.

Selection Process

The NHSRCL selection process has three notified stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT): The CBT for all vacancy notice numbers may be held on the same day and at the same time.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must show qualification, experience, category and other supporting documents.
3. Medical Examination: Final appointment depends on medical fitness under NHSRCL/railway medical standards.

Management may add or remove selection steps if needed, including a written test, personal interview or both, depending on the number of applications.

Medical standards vary by post, with A-1 or A-3 listed in the notice. NHSRCL may also require additional medical checks such as audiometry or perimetry for safe high-speed train operations.

• Monitor and maintain high-speed rail civil, electrical, signalling, rolling stock, AFC or operations systems as per assigned post
• Handle controller duties in the Operations Control Centre for safe and reliable train movement
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, field staff and other controllers during normal and emergency operations
• Inspect assets, track failures and support quick service restoration during disruptions
• Keep technical logs, reports and maintenance records updated for audits and operational review
• Follow railway safety protocols, medical standards and operating procedures during shift duties
• Assist with passenger handling, station operations, train dispatch or depot movement control where assigned
