Who Can Apply?

General Forensics

• Essential qualification: You need a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with minimum first class or 60% at the preceding degree.
• Relevant master's areas: M.Sc. in Forensic Science with appropriate specialisation, or equivalent master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Life Sciences, Toxicology, Biotechnology, or Anthropology.
• Desirable: Experience in Forensic Science or a relevant field is preferred.

Computer Science / Cyber Security / Digital Forensics

• Essential qualification: You need a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with minimum first class or 60% at the preceding degree.
• Relevant master's areas: M.Sc., MCA, M.E., or M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Security, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Cyber Forensics, Network Technology, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or related discipline.
• Desirable: Experience in IT, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, or a relevant domain is preferred.

Lower Pay / Lecturer Option

• Assistant Professor lower pay: If a suitable Ph.D. candidate is not found, a relevant master's degree with first class or 60% and NET may be considered.
• NET not conducted: If UGC does not conduct NET in the desired subject, a relevant master's degree with first class or 60% may be considered.
• Lecturer option: A candidate with the minimum qualifying master's degree may be considered as Lecturer at Rs. 68,000 per month, with preference to Ph.D. scholars from INI or recognised universities.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: Maximum age is 45 years.
• Age cut-off: The upper age limit will be counted as on the last date of application submission, 19 June 2026.

Salary

• Assistant Professor with Ph.D.: Rs. 90,000 per month consolidated.
• Assistant Professor with Master's + NET: Rs. 75,000 per month consolidated.
• Assistant Professor / Lecturer lower option: Rs. 68,000 per month consolidated.
• Note: NFSU may offer a lower level depending on qualification, suitability, and availability of candidates.

Application Fee

• Application fee: Rs. 500, non-refundable.
• Payment mode: Online transfer / UPI / NEFT to the bank account given in the notification.
• Upload proof: The successful payment receipt must be uploaded in the Google Form.

Bank payment note: The fee has to be paid to the account mentioned in the notification, and the receipt must match the applicant details. Keep a copy of the payment proof because it is needed both for upload and for future checking.

Selection Process

NFSU Manipur will select candidates through application scrutiny and interview. The interview may be held online or offline based on approval of the competent authority.

1. Application Scrutiny: NFSU will check qualification, documents, payment proof, and domain suitability.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email only, and interviews may continue late in the day or to the next day if needed.
3. Document Verification: Original documents will be checked at joining or as required by the university.
4. Medical Fitness: Appointment is subject to being found medically fit as per university requirements.
