NERIE Shillong Multi-Post Recruitment 2026 - 18 Posts

North East Regional Institute of Education, Shillong (NERIE), a constituent unit of NCERT under the Ministry of Education, has released a walk-in notice for 18 posts under different academic projects and institute services. The notice covers 7 Junior Project Fellow posts, 6 studio staff posts, 3 Computer Typist posts, 1 ECCE Teacher post and 1 ECCE Helper post. Who Can Apply?

Junior Project Fellow Posts

• Qualification: You need a Master's degree or M.Ed. in the relevant project subject such as Education, Psychology, Special Education, Statistics, Sociology, Science, Computer Science, History or Social Science.
• Marks: Most JPF posts need 55% marks; the History/Social Science project allows 50% marks for SC, ST and PH candidates.
• Useful skills: NET/JRF, Ph.D., B.Ed., computer knowledge, SPSS, R, SAS, Excel, report writing and language skills are preferred for different projects.

Studio Staff Posts

• Engineer Grade II: Engineering degree in Electronics, Communication or IT with 3 years relevant experience.
• Producer Grade II: Mass Communication degree or degree with diploma, plus 3 years film or TV production experience.
• Production Assistant: Mass Communication or Journalism qualification with 2 years TV production experience.
• Camera man, Video Editor and Graphic Designer: Relevant media, design, video editing or production qualification with experience as listed in the notice.

Computer Typist and ECCE Posts

• Computer Typist: You must be 12th pass or graduate, know computer applications, and type 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi/Urdu.
• ECCE Teacher: You need NTT, D.El.Ed., Diploma in ECCE or ECE. Knowledge of Hindi, English and Khasi is preferred.
• ECCE Helper: You must be Class 10 pass. Nursery, pre-school, Balvatika or Anganwadi experience is preferred.

Age Limit

• Junior Project Fellow: Below 40 years as on the last date of filling the application.
• Engineer Grade II and Producer Grade II: Not more than 45 years; retired candidates can be up to 62 years.
• Production Assistant, Camera man, Video Editor, Graphic Designer and Computer Typist: Not more than 45 years; retired government employees can be up to 65 years.
• ECCE Teacher: Not above 30 years.
• ECCE Helper: Preferably between 18 and 35 years.
• Relaxation: Age relaxation is available as per Government of India norms.

Salary

• Junior Project Fellow: Rs. 37,000 per month for NET/Ph.D. candidates and Rs. 35,000 per month for Non-NET candidates.
• Engineer Grade II: Rs. 50,000 per month.
• Producer Grade II: Rs. 42,000 per month.
• Production Assistant: Rs. 50,000 per month.
• Camera man: Rs. 42,000 per month.
• Video Editor: Rs. 50,000 per month.
• Graphic Designer: Rs. 50,000 per month.
• Computer Typist: As per GNCT minimum wages of the respective state or UT.
• ECCE Teacher: Rs. 31,000 per month.
• ECCE Helper: Rs. 15,000 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

NERIE will select candidates through document verification and walk-in interview. The notice does not mention any written exam.

1. Reporting and Attendance: Reach NERIE Shillong between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on the scheduled interview date.
2. Document Verification: Submit the filled application form, self-attested certificates, experience certificate and one passport-size photo. Bring original documents for checking.
3. Interview: Attend the interview for the post and project you choose. Reporting after 10:00 AM will not be accepted.
4. Final Appointment: The offer will be sent by email. Selected candidates need medical fitness and police verification after joining.

6. If you are already working, bring a No Objection Certificate from your current employer.

• Assist in interviews, data collection, production activities, typing work or Balvatika support when assigned
