NCERT SRA JPF SPA Recruitment 2026 - 31 Posts
National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has issued a Department of Education in Languages notice for temporary project staff across Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, reading material, textbook review, and language resource centre projects. Who Can Apply?
Senior Research Associate
- Qualification: You need Post-Graduation with 55% marks in Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: You need 2 years of relevant field experience.
Junior Project Fellow
- Qualification: You need Post-Graduation in Hindi, Urdu, English or Sanskrit.
- Marks: Minimum 55% for General and 50% for SC/ST/PH.
- Desirable: Basic computer knowledge, MS Office, data processing, report preparation, 1 year school education experience, and good communication skills.
Semi Professional Assistant
- Qualification: You need B.Lib.Sc., B.L.I.Sc., or Graduation with Library Science/Information Science as one subject with 50% marks.
- Desirable: 2 years of Library and Information Science experience and knowledge of library software.
Age Limit
- Senior Research Associate: not more than 45 years.
- Junior Project Fellow: maximum age is 40 years.
- Semi Professional Assistant: not more than 45 years, and up to 65 years for retired persons.
- Age Relaxation: Relaxation is available as per Government of India norms.
Salary
- Senior Research Associate with NET/Ph.D: Rs. 42,000 per month.
- Senior Research Associate without NET: Rs. 40,000 per month.
- Junior Project Fellow with NET/Ph.D: Rs. 37,000 per month.
- Junior Project Fellow without NET: Rs. 35,000 per month.
- Semi Professional Assistant: Rs. 35,000 per month.
- The salary is consolidated for temporary project engagement.
Selection Process
The selection will be through a walk-in interview and document checking.
- Registration: Register between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM on 15 June 2026 at Room No. 11.
- Walk-in Interview: Attend the interview at 10:30 AM in Room No. 17, 2nd Floor, Janaki Ammal Khand, NCERT.
- Document Verification: Bring original certificates, self-attested copies, and one passport size photograph.
- Joining: Selected candidates may need to join immediately.

Responsibilities
- Prepare syllabus, textual material, and reading material for language projects
- Support research work in Hindi, Urdu, English, Sanskrit, and multilingual education
- Collect, organise, and analyse academic data for project reports
- Review textbooks and language learning material as assigned
- Maintain project files, references, and documentation for NCERT review
- Assist with resource centre and library-related work for language education projects
- Coordinate with the department team during meetings, interviews, and reporting work
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Post-Graduation in Hindi/Urdu/English/Sanskrit, or B.Lib.Sc./B.L.I.Sc./Library Science qualification depending on the post
Preferred Qualification
NET/Ph.D for higher consolidated salary; computer knowledge, MS Office, school education experience, communication skills, and library software knowledge where applicable

Age Limit
18 - 65 years
