Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has released Advertisement No. IITD/IRD/131/2026 through its Industrial Research and Development Unit. The post is for the project titled Identification of key ligands/ligand complexes on Plasmodium falciparum merozoite using Cryo-EM, proteome and immunological approaches, a step toward an effective malaria blood-stage vaccine. The project is funded by the Wellcome Trust/DBT India Alliance and is led by Prof. Manidipa Banerjee in the School of Biological Sciences.

The appointment is on a contractual project basis. It may be renewed yearly or continued up to the project duration, whichever is earlier. The project duration is mentioned up to 31 October 2028.

Educational Qualification

• PhD requirement: You must have a PhD in Structural Biology in the context of infectious diseases such as parasitology.
• Master's background: You must also have an M.Sc. in Biology/Biotechnology with outstanding academic performance.

Experience

• Required experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Structural Biology of infectious diseases.

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 67,000 per month.
