Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) Ranchi has released an employment notice for Regional Centre ECHS Ranchi and ECHS Polyclinics at Ranchi, Daltonganj, Chaibasa and Gumla. The recruitment is for one year on contract, renewable for one more year based on performance, age limit and other conditions. The notice covers 13 different post types, so this listing combines all active posts from the same advertisement.

Who Can Apply?

Medical Posts

• OIC Polyclinic: Graduate with minimum 5 years work experience in healthcare institutions or managerial positions. Age up to 63 years, ESM only.
• Medical Specialist: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned speciality with minimum 3 years experience after post-graduation. Age up to 68 years.
• Medical Officer: MBBS with minimum 3 years work experience after internship. Additional qualification in medicine or surgery is preferred. Age up to 66 years.

Paramedical and Technical Posts

• IT Network Technician: Diploma/certificate or equivalent in IT networking and computer applications with minimum 2 years work experience.
• Lab Technician: B.Sc Medical Lab Technology, or 10+2 Science with diploma in Medical Lab Technology and minimum 3 years lab assistant experience.
• Dental Hygienist / Dental Assistant: Dental Hygienist diploma, Class-I DH or DORA course from Armed Forces with minimum 5 years experience.
• Nursing Assistant: GNM Diploma or Class-I Nursing Assistants Course from Armed Forces with minimum 5 years work experience.
• Pharmacist: B.Pharmacy or Diploma in Pharmacy with computer working knowledge and minimum 3 years work experience.

Clerical and Support Posts

• DEO / Clerk, Clerk and DEO: Graduate or Class-I clerical trade from Armed Forces with minimum 5 years work experience.
• Driver: 8th pass, Class-I MT Driver from Armed Forces, civil driving licence and minimum 5 years driver experience.
• Female Attendant: Literate with minimum 5 years work experience in civil or army health institutions.

Age Limit

• Role-wise upper age ranges from 53 years to 68 years.
• Medical Specialist: up to 68 years.
• Medical Officer: up to 66 years.
• OIC Polyclinic: up to 63 years.
• Technical, paramedical and support posts: mostly up to 56 or 53 years as mentioned post-wise.

Salary

• Highest salary: Rs. 1,30,000 per month for Medical Specialist.
• OIC Polyclinic and Medical Officer salary: Rs. 95,000 per month.
• Technical and paramedical posts mainly carry Rs. 36,500 per month.
• Clerical and support posts range from Rs. 21,800 to Rs. 29,200 per month.
• The notice gives fixed monthly pay, so no separate allowance details are mentioned.

Selection Process

The ECHS notice does not mention a written exam. Selection will be based on the following steps:

1. Application Scrutiny: ECHS will check the application format, qualification documents and work experience proof.
2. Interview Call: Candidates meeting the qualitative requirements will be informed about interview place, date and time by email and telephone.
3. Interview: Interview will be held at Station Headquarters Ranchi, Booty More, near Ranchi Gymkhana Club.
4. Document Verification: You must bring original certificates, service records, experience documents and photographs at interview.

1. Download the application form from echs.gov.in or collect it from Station HQ Ranchi (ECHS Cell).
2. Fill the application in the prescribed format.
3. Attach self-attested photocopies of education, work experience, discharge book, PPO if ESM, PAN card and Aadhaar card.
4. Submit the application to OIC Station Cell ECHS Ranchi by 04 July 2026.
5. Do not send email copies because the notice clearly says email copies are not acceptable.

Important Notes

• OIC, Medical Officer and Dental Officer will undergo 10 days unpaid on-the-job training before joining.

• Lack of any required document will make the candidate ineligible for interview.
